Well seeing as I've only tried the original or the red kind (at Taco bell, afaik you can only get the original around here), I'll go with that.

Original is good.
Code Red is better. Stuff with fake cherry flavor is infinitely better than stuff without.
Live Wire is solid, but it's just not as awesome as the first two.
Pitch Black is disgusting.
Every diet soda is garbage.
I haven't tried Baja Blast... Is it any good?

Every diet soda is garbage. Diet soda requires a transition. You have to start drinking it and then eventually it will taste fine, and then you can't drink regular soda any more.

I made the transition from regular soda, to diet, then to no soda...but then Live Wire came back out again and I'm back full circle again. I haven't had Baja Blast yet, but evidently its a big hit down in Texas.

Raspberry Iced Tea > Lemonade > Root Beer > Everything Else.
Mountain Dew = A2M.
Thus concludes our math lesson for the day.

Baja Blast is pretty good. It tastes sort of like melted-down Sour Patch Kids.
I drink diet soda, for the taste. It's not a health or weight issue for me, but I grew up drinking diet, and to this day regular tastes way too strong.

I switched to diet soda when I first started playing clarinet, because excess sugar in your saliva melts off the pads. Now it's all I drink.

Once you make the transition to diet, you absolutely cannot beat Diet Pepsi Vanilla (not Diet Vanilla Coke, that's gross).

Water > everything else. When I do anything athletic, I agree. Although I still drink soda at other times, as it's still awesome. And I also have a liking for Propel.

I voted Code Red, and I like ordinary and LiveWire as well. I hadn't heard of Pitch Black or Baja Blast until I read the poll options.
Diet soda is fine in most non-Dew varieties. To quote another message board denizen: "The Soda Gods have punished Pepsi for making Mountain Dew so wonderful by making the diet variety so horribly bad."

I had Baja Blast today, and it was pretty good.. still haven't come across Pitch Black since I rarely drink soda unless it's mixed with something else.
Remembering a lesson from the Simspons, however, I'm going to have to vote that Crab Juice >>>> all Mountain Dew.

Excuse for sounding like the token Dutchie again (and God knows I was hoping our collective memories of the bagel-incident had faded) but:
What the hell is Mountain Dew?
You'll excuse me for not googleing for it, as I'd immediately get busted by the local system administrator and his boys again (who we lovingly refer to as the Thought Police around here).
P.S. I got as far as assuming it's some sort of drink, so I'd like some more detailed info than that. Thank you. Also, if there is actually a drink called Pitch Black, does anyone know if an online, internationally-delivering store I could order a pallet through?

hey, i've been to the US, and I don't know what mountain dew is either. So I'm sure it's not available in fat food restaurants.

I think the problem here is that the Dutchies are unsure what the term 'Mountain' means.

Now was that SO hard? I actually risked my life (more or less) to get that picture. So what's it taste like? And why do beverage advertisment photos always look like the bottle or can in question has been out in the rain longer than a dutchman trying to find a caucasian prostitute in amsterdam's red light district?

Original is a sort of pseudo-citrus. Code Red is cherry flavored. Live Wire is citrus again, but more orange than anything else. Pitch Black tastes like the sweat off a dead man's nutsack. All the diet flavors taste like water.

They do the droplets because their marketing research shows that it makes more people thirsty to see that in the commercial. It connects their product with thirst-quenching, so you feel more like buying it, I guess. The problem is that Americans in particular are becoming immune to marketing messages, so it's not as strong a tactic as it once was.
