If there is a better board for this, chalk it up to my n00bishness.
I'm looking to play some Vintage in SoCal. I live in the OC, but going to LA or SD is no problem. Anything is better than my two person group at UCIrvine.
So if anyone knows good shops, good groups, good tournaments, whatever, please help me out.

Check the sticky I have formed up above. It has quite a few stores listed by State and Province, and is growing every day!

Send a message to TracerBullet. I know he's from SoCal (or somewhere around there). Right now, he's at worlds in SanFran though, otherwise he would've responded himself, I'm sure.

Monday Night around Six thirty, there is unsantioned play at a chess club nick named "don's" in Balboa Park, San Diego. The prices are the best in town, better than when he is at Frank and Sons. PM me if you want more info.

It's too bad that you're just now coming down to Orange County. I've had a group that I've been testing with for a few years now in Huntington Beach, but now I'm moving up to UCLA.
On that note, many of the good places have been illuminated by those who have posted before me. Franks is the best place to start, because it's the largest regular Magic venue in Southern California, and barring actually travelling to Don's, it's got the best prices. From there, you'll meet most people in person at some point or another, and you'll start to find the other places to play. I organize a tournement at Gems, in La Mirada, pretty irregularly, and always post them up here on TMD, so keep your eyes open for that.
PM me if you're thinking about getting together some time in the next two weeks to just play.

People have mentioned this a few times, but just to reiterate: Frank and Sons is pretty cool. It's somewhat of a collector's convention that goes on every Wednesday and Saturday, and in the middle is a big section reserved for collectible card games.
I live in Los Angeles and wouldn't mind getting together to play. Drop me an IM / PM some time if you'd like.
Thanks you.

I'm sorry, Miss Nanako. Looks like I won't be able to take you to the beach like I promised.
