CHK looks like it's going to generate a few theme decks for me, one of which is going to be a R/W Samurai deck.  I'm looking for older cards that fit that theme, which I intend to keep fairly tight.  Goblin War Drums is nice with Bushido, but is terrible thematically, so it doesn't make the cut.  Cards I'm currently considering:

False Orders (just for the old-school factor, also military theme)
Reinforcements
Blaze of Glory
Archery Training (thematic removal is tough to come by)
Tithe (Samurai are high caste after all)
Outmaneuver
High Ground
Various obvious choices from CHK

Any other cards out there that would fit a military/tactical deck?  In particular, I'm looking for cool lands.

I was thinking about making a samurai deck myself. (Maybe ninjas would be in the next set. That would rock.)

The only land I could think of off the top of my head with that might fit would be Kjeldoran Outpost from Alliances. Not sure if you'd consider soldiers to be close enough to samurai for the purpose of this deck.

And though it's not a land, you could also use Castle.

I don't know if they'd be really useful to you, but Fanatical Devotion and Worthy Cause both seem to be on-flavour. There's also Noble Purpose, Fervor, Warrior's Honor, Guided Strike, Stand Firm, Bravado, Lightning Reflexes (perfect flavour text), and Favorable Destiny.

As far as lands goes, there's Battlefield Forge, City of Traitors (Ronin, maybe?), Mountain Stronghold (maybe actually useful, with Kamigawa block!), and Secluded Steppe.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

Cards like Honorable Passage, Death or Glory, and Blood of the Martyr all seem to fit well into a Samurai theme.

Also, Searing Spear Askari and Burning Shield Askari seem to be the closest things to samurai in older sets.

For lands, the only things I can think of is Temple of the False God and/or Deserted Temple

I know this won't happen in a tournament, but if my opponent has Chaos Orb in his hand while I'm controlling his turn from a Mindslaver, who flips the card if I force him to play it and activate it?

Karakas is pretty good, from Legends.  It basically bounces a Legend, taps for {W}, and has nice poetic flavor text that is very much in theme.  This also works well since there are a lot of Samurai Legends in the new block, and as a bonus...  If you can find one then odds are you can get it for like $1 or so.   Smile
