I found this on CoK spoiler:

Uba Mask - 4
Artifact
If a player would draw a card, that player removes that card from the game face up instead. Each player may play cards he or she removed from the game with Uba Mask this turn.
Rare

This may seem janky in the first place, but please look at what it does: If you don't play the drawn card this turn, your card becomes dead. Resolving this turn 1/2 against certain decks could be very game-winning, since most decks won't have the mana to play a spell early, while the Workshop player could just have enough mana to play the drawn card most time. And unlike most of the previous Workshop toys (Tangle Wire, Sphere of Resistance, Trinisphere), this card provides card-denial instead of mana-denial. You probably won't want 4 though, as this card along with Trinisphere are late dead cards.

Actually, the key things that this card does are:

1.  It renders useless all counters that aren't already in the opponent's hand.
2.  It severely reduces the effectiveness of any form of card drawing.
3.  It has several neat interactions in combo decks, such as casting a draw7, then casting another and still having access to the cards from the first.

Naturally, if this card is good enough to be used at all, it will most likely be used in Workshop sideboards to be brought in against control.  It may also see use in Tendrils-based combo, though it may be a little costly and too much of a "win-more" card there.

I was thinking about the interaction between this and a commonly used card: brainstorm.

If you have no cards in hand, this card makes a brainstorm an ancestrall!

On the other hand, if we have a couple of cards in hand, casting brainstorm empties our hand...  Confused

It's a watered down artifact version of Future Sight that can potentially screw over your opponent, the only problem is you need a draw engine to abuse it in workshop decks.
This has amazing synergy with Balance, though. With this in play, cast all your card drawing to remove those cards from the game, Balance with a low/zero card hand and play the stuff you removed.
It also hoses the 'pitch random blue card to FOW your bomb' trick that blue loves so very much.

This is not a watered down version of Future Sight.  If anything, it is an anti-Future Sight.

I'm not sure what this card will actually accomplish.  If you manage to get this to resolve, then cool, you'll fend off control's counters and whatnot.  Then again, I guess by resolving it in the first place, you already beat their counters.  Congratulations!

I can't wait to brainstorm with no cards in hand vs this card.
