Portable Forest
Artifact Land - Equipment
Equip 1
Tap equipped creature: Add G to your mana pool.
Sacrifice equipped creature: Add G to your mana pool.

Concept: an equipment land. I think it's a pretty cool idea, although I'm not particularly happy with the actual card. Any suggestions?

Well I don't see a casting cost, so I assume {0}.  In this case I would suggest:  Casting cost {1}, and equipment cost {0}.  This differs it from the Paradise Mantle a lot more, and since it only makes {G} mana then it's note quite as abusive.  Basically, when you have it out every creature you have is also a Llanowar Elf.  That's not bad, and hardly broken.   Very Happy

It's a land.  Giving it a mana cost and making it a spell kind of gums up the works.

I guess so, but erm...  Can it actually be an Artifact Land - Equipment?

This seems way too similar to paradise mantle.

Well, I don't see why an equipment can't be a land. It seems like an amusing idea. Smile

And like I said, I'm not terribly happy with the card, but I don't think it's too similar to Paradise Mantle - the sacrifice ability makes it quite different IMO.

To differentiate it more, maybe I should completely get rid of the tap ability?

Equip G
Sacrifice equipped creature: Add GG to your mana pool.

The sacrifice ability makes it different, but that ability is also pretty bad, because creatures cost mana and a card, and all you get back is G.
