Oh that's so hot. Well... the idea is indeed. It would be even hotter if he used photoshop instead of regular paint, because its plain obvious he just used paint. For example: name of the artist is very strange. The brown color around the artist's name is different from the brown around it. I think he used some brown color that's already on the card with that one paint feature I can't remember the name of. Other example; no difference in colors around the "Volcanic Island" part. Probably the same as with the color around the artist's name. Ergo; its an obvious fake. |

VERY obvious photoshoppery. Look at the blue line in the left top corner. Look at the name 'Brian Snoddy' Look at the edge above the copyright info & card number (or, for that matter, the fact that it slightly obscures the card's black edge.) I could go on and on, and I'm pretty sure I could do a better job that this. Hell, my foil Morphling looked better than this  Still, the idea is pretty nice. |

Wizards owns that art under their old contracts, so printing this would involve hideous royalty payments to the artist. They would pretty much have to comission new art for anything like this.
And like others said, the image editing is pretty obvious.
