Yes that looks like a stupid question Wink

Anyhow, I am collecting the P9 cards in NM/M condition and would hate to ruin the cards by playing with them. Is it allowed to play with proxies (say CE cards) in non-proxy tourneys when you bring the actual real cards to be able to show that you do own them?

Thanx!

No; it's not.

I believe that there has been some debate over this issue in the past but in the end you must use the actual cards in sanctioned tournes.

However, if it is unsanctioned but no-proxy (seems like an oxymroron, but w/e) then you could probably do this with the discretion of the TO or whoever is judging, though.

We have rather cyclic discussion, and I fully believe that someone so inclined could create a rather accurate computer program which could do a fine job impersonating any of us.

Proxies are only allowed in sanctioned tournaments at the discretion of the TD under one of the following two circumstances:

1)A card at a limited event comes out of the pack miscut or damaged in such a way it would be considered marked, or

2)A card becomes significantly damaged or worn during the course of a tournament.

If you want a Mox Jet in your deck in a sanctioned tournament, then you have to actually put the card in the deck. Simply proving you own it isn't enough.

Just a note on the second one, they can also force you to sleave your deck insteed of proxying the card.

Jeez, if I own a PSA graded P9-piece in the corresponding plastic PSA-cover I think it is bloody SACRILEGE to take it out and play it (sleeved or not)

Those DCI rules are made for T2 play where it doesn´t get better than, say, a foil Ravager. In T1 there´s a lot more money involved.

Surely there must be judges that appreciate that.

DCI rules are not made for T2 play, they are made for tournament play. I've already made proxies for sealed deck events.

Just bring your PSA cover to the tourney, show it to the HJ and ask him to make you a proxi card.

Oh and please people, stop with pointless T2 comparaisons.
