I decided to make a card with the aztec flavour in mind. The idea for the card is a fast and deadly aztec warrior imbued with spiritual fury.

Feathered Runner
WR
Summon - Warrior
Haste, first strike
Light, fire, speed: The Sun provides for it's followers.

This seems a bit overpowered...maybe haste or first strike, but not both.  Two colors isnt that bad of a drawback.

No, I think this is fine. If a 1/1 haste, first strike creature costs 1R, then having two opposing colours as the mana cost is worthy of a 2/2 haste, first strike. It's good, but certainly not too good. It's as good as Goblin Berserker (which never sees play). If you want proof that a creature can move from costing {3}{R} to costing {W}{R} fairly, look at Shock Troops and Goblin Legionnaire. They're not identical, but they're very close.

I think its slightly overpowered, especially if it was going to be a common. How about making it 2/1 instead for  {R} {W}?

I know this won't happen in a tournament, but if my opponent has Chaos Orb in his hand while I'm controlling his turn from a Mindslaver, who flips the card if I force him to play it and activate it?

Also: great name! Brilliant break with my aztec god names while keeping in flavor. AND very cool of you not to immediately use Posion. I'm betting we'll have a lot of Posion action at first, but eventually, the set stands or falls with 'regular' stuff like this. I think we can do this just as it is.

[EDIT] Compare to Hell-bent Raider, which noone ever played. A 2/2 haste first strike WITH an (addmittedly meagre) ability for 1RR. And seriously, 1RR isn't that much harder (if at all) to play than WR is. So drop the extra ability which makes it slightly worse, and 'drop' the mana cost from 1RR to WR which MAY make it SLIGHTLY better (who plays WR?!) and you have a balanced creature, IMO. And yes, it may be a better card than Hell-bent Raider, which, I bet, most of you would've needed to look up if I hadn't spelled it out for you. I think that says enough....
