Ziggurat of Horzatl
Land
R, T: Add RR to your mana pool.
W, T: Add WW to your mana pool.
In its thousand mirrored surfaces, you will see only yourself.

I wanted to try a new kind of dual land, which can't provide mana you don't already have...

You could safely make this produce all five colors in the suggested manner.  It still wouldn't get too much play--like reflecting pool sort of.

Now one wierd twist you could put on it would be to pay W to get RR or R to get WW.  Then it would give you something you don't already have.

Would you make a B/G jungle temple, too, to be the other god's version?

I want to give this idea another bump, because I like the kind of color-fixing these cards would give.  Along with the pair of cards like the ones in Alfred's thread, these would encourage in-flavor color combos without aiding the "poison yourself and take advantage of it" combos.

Ziggurat of Horzatl
Land
W, T: Add RR to your mana pool.
R, T: Add WW to your mana pool.
In its thousand mirrored surfaces, you will see only yourself.

Shrine of Quiacatl
Land
G, T: Add BB to your mana pool.
B, T: Add GG to your mana pool.

As for something along the lines of laurie's original thread:

SomeAztecLandName
Land
1,T: Add two mana of the color you used to activate this ability to your mana pool.  Use only colored mana for this ability.

That isn't any better than reflecting pool.  I like it.

The latter is actually worse than Reflecting Pool (for example, it doesn't interact with Gemstone Mine quite as well). Ok, that's fair.

And I like the "inverter" version of the Ziggurat, although the flavor text would need some changes then.
