According to today's "Ask the Judge" corner on Starcity Games, Memnarch can only interfere with the Worldgorger Dragon Loop if Memnarch steals both the animating enchantment and the Dragon.

However, doesn't stealing the enchantment stop the loop (the repeated process of the dragon bouncing from the graveyard to play and back)?  If I steal the animating enchantment, doesn't the opponent end up with a lonely Worldgorger in play?

That's what I was thinking too, but I wasn't wholly sure. I'm fairly sure that Richter's wrong, though.

I think that if you steal the enchantment when the Dragon's come into play ability goes on the stack and before it resolves... it will stay in play.

Since the Animate Dead didn't phase out, the Dragon is still alive, but nothing else is. So yes, it will stop the loop, and the Dragon will be alive.

The authors can't update their columns, and Knut (the editor) doesn't make changes unless it's something major.
