I have been a member of TMD for a long time, but I never before felt that I had anything relevant to post on the boards. So instead of making an ass out of myself like so many members that don't read the rules and post decklists(the Rock in Type 1?) without explanations or matchup analyses, here is my submission to the Mana Drain community. I know it looks a little weird on paper, but trust me, I tested the bejesus out of this thing, and I've had solid results. So please don't flame me without at least reading the decklist and perhaps giving it your own testing and tuning. I'd be greatly appreciate any/all feedback or suggestions on my wildest creation to date...without further adieu, Full Swedish Breakfast.

--75 total cards--
--Sideboard--
As of this moment I haven't constructed a sideboard for the deck, since I feel that this deck is one of those cases where the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. To take anything away from the deck would destroy the very foundation upon which it was built.
--Notes about deck--
I know, you're saying, "75 cards??? How can someone even begin to consider a 75 card Vintage deck?" My answer is simple, people play much larger decks to notable success, take Battle of Wits decks. Those are huge! So with the 60-card limitation out of my way, I sought to make deck that's resiliant to hate, and that will often win by sheer brokenness. So, I figured combo would be my best bet. But not just one measly combo you devote the whole deck to. A BUNCH of combos to dedicate the entire deck to. I have Illusions/Donate, I have Worldgorger Dragon/Necromancy/Stroke of Genius, I have Metalworker/Staff of Domination, Auriok Salvagers/Black Lotus/Stroke of Genius, Fastbond/Zuran Orb/Crucible of Worlds, Strip Mine/Crucible of Worlds, Illusionary Mask/Phyrexian Dreadnought, Volrath's Shapeshifter/Phage the Untouchable, Tinker/Darksteel Colossus, Survival of the Fittest/Anger/Goblin Welder/Sundering Titan, Illusions of Grandeur/Donate, and probably even a few I missed!
--Playtesting results--
Against 3-Color Tog:
I first tested my deck against a deck I'd originally designed this deck to trump, 3-Color Psychatog. In about 15 games, my record was a predictable 13-2 in favor of Full Swedish Breakfast, which I shall refer to as FSB for the remainder of the article. The brokenness is too much for most decks, and Tog was no exception. If they try to Mana Drain a spell of yours, Force of Will back! If they Ancestral Recall, Misdirection it over to yourself! Unfortunately for my playtest partner, I was on fire(not literally!)and was coming up with broken draws all night. First turn: Lotus, Volcanic, Mox Emerald, sac Lotus for Crucible, tap Mox for Fastbond, and play Zuran Orb for the big 'W'. Other games, my opponent perhaps should have mulliganed differently, but that is neither here nor there. In our seventh game, I Serum Powdered my first hand of 5 lands into a broken 2nd turn Staff of Domination/Metalworker combo! I guess luck may need to be factored in a bit, but I allotted most of my wins to the deck. Tog players beware! FSB has got game!
Against 4cc Control(aka Keeper):
I originally didn't want to test against this deck, as it's not one I enjoy playing with or against. So, instead of a 15-game test, we settled for 10. Amazingly enough, FSB had a toolbox of hate in store for my weary playtest partner. Game after game, he would play a morphed Exalted Angel, and I would take it out somehow. One time with the Suq'ata Firwalker and Staff of Domination, using the Staff to untap the Firewalker and ping the morph for 2 points! I love that card! What can't it do? Though some of the matches were pretty close, FSB came out 8-2. And I was assuming splash damage was going to be my biggest problem!
Against Dragon(Worldgorger Dragon combo, called Dragon for brevity):
We probably had about 20 games in less than an hour with this particular matchup. After a couple warm-up games, I decided to flip my hourglass and just test for an hour stright. No bathroom breaks, no time for phone calls/drinks/whining/etc. We had some very interesting situations come up, but even in the face of a devoted and powerful combo deck, FSB came through again and again. I think I might carry around a sideboard stricty for Coffin Purge...like 1 Purge and 14 Land since I don't want anything else. This deck has a silver bullet for Dragon decks--Swords to Plowshares. When they start to get their combo in place, bam! Swords to Plowshares that 's'! I believe our final standings were around 16-4, in favor of FSB. I knew that with enough creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, I'd finally make the new 'rogue'deck, or 'rogue' as many spell it. I think this may be it!
Against Mono-Blue Belcher:
I saw this deck going around since Mr. Robillard won that tourney recently, and I'm very impressed with his creation. Perhaps it was errors on my opponent's end, but I managed to steal game after game right under his nose. Counter the Mana Severance! Weld out the Belcher! After about 12 winless games, my opponent decided he'd had enough and conceded to quit playing if he doesn't start to win a few. I respect the deck very much though, and look forward to further innovations on Mono-Blue Belcher.
--Bonus Section--
After my opponent decided he didn't want to play anymore, I gave him an option. Let HIM pilot FSB, and that way I can see for myself if it was bad playing on his part, good luck on my part, or whatever. So, he came out guns a'blazin' and had me comboed out turn 2 twice, and turn 3 twice. It really IS a great deck! So after a few more wins on his side, and finally one win on mine, we called it a night. I think our record in that match was 7-1 in favor of my opponent.
--Conclusion--
Well, that wraps up the matchups I was able to test so far, but I plan on getting more results and possibly innovations on the deck over the next few weeks. I hope I haven't broken any forum rules or anything of that sort. If I have, (Mods) please direct me to the rules that I have ignored/broken so I can fix my post to the rigorous standards of the Mana Drain forums, and that we may have truly intelligent and thought-provoking discussion on my latest innovation. Thank you to anyone who has read my decklist and reports, I look forward to talking to you all!

The number of combos you have does not increase your chances of winning. It increases the chances that your deck will fail to work due to inconsistency problems. Focus on one or two, you'll find that there's more than enough cards to fully function within the 60 card limit. 75 cards is just ridiculous, because you will greatly reduce the brokenness of your deck (face it, drawing Ancestral more often is better than having dead combo pieces missing their partners). As a rule of thumb, never go above 60 cards. You can technically run 61 cards and still win, but that doesn't mean your deck is the best it can be.

Interesting build. I took it upon myself to try this deck last night, and the results were pretty amazing. I tested against Stax and a few other Workshop decks, and my biggest weapon turned out to be the confusion factor. The anti B2B tech worked great vs Blood Moon and Crucible locks, and my opponents had a lot of trouble sideboarding. When they went the anti-artifact route (against a combo like Masknaught or Metalworker-Staff) I simply comboed off with Dragon or Phage. When they would try the anti graveyard stuff, I got them with Illusions Donate. Incredible! The results were something ridiculous for FSB, like 22-5 pre board, 8-1 post board. After SB it was even more powerful, as my opponent diluted his deck by bringing in various anti-combo cards, of course all to no avail.
Nevertheless, I feel this build could be improved. Here are some additional suggestions:
Expand to 80 cards. Thats right! If the deck can do this well at 75, why not expand the combo aspect and make things even more broken. I was thinking about the Lodestone Myr - Time Vault instant-kill combo, which has some synergy with Survival (Survival can fetch quite a few combo pieces in this deck). I would top it off with Sneak Attack - Serra Avatar. The Avatar can win via the Shapeshifter combo, and the Sneak Attack can occasionally mise you games where the opponent does NOT read the rules text on Phage the Untouchable. Phage + Sneak + unsuspecting opponent = win!
So that's 79 cards; the 80th would have to be a mana source. My vote goes to Darksteel Citadel, which is a great anti-Crucible/Waste/Strip card. Strip that bitch, yeah!
(yeah, I know about the Avatar Shapeshifter "nombo" - read the part about "unsuspecting" opponents).

I've been brainstorming up some more ideas, and I got around to thinking about the Donate. Perhaps another good combo would be to bring some extra copies of lands with you to a tourney, and then in every game 1, before comboing off, you can try to find your Donate first and Donate a basic land. This will of course thoroughly confuse your opponent, and make them even more upset when you DO combo off with a real combo. In their frustration they might shuffle up their cards in disgust and move on to game two. In the meantime, you secretly replace the land that you donated, so that for game two you have a legal deck, but your opponent hopefully won't. That's an auto game loss I believe, so its a great way to seal up a match-win.
It's best if you try to donate a basic land of the color that they are playing, so that they might not notice it when they are SBing. Any judges here that can verify the legality of this "meta-combo"?

You'd both get game losses. If the judge figured out that it was intentional on your part (adding the basic land back in is a clear giveaway), then you'd get DQ w/out prize for cheating.

Well, that's only if you admit to making the donation. You can just shrug your shoulders and show that you have a legal deck, and claim to have no recollection of passing anything on to your opponent.

75% of tourneygoers use KMC super black or some variant that looks strikingly similar.
I've caught quite a few people playing with a single card in raven black and the rest in kmc.

The plastics will give it away, since most people use different plastics. Well, you'll have to play the odds and go with the most frequently used plastics, which are probably black Dragon shields.

Instead of donating a basic land donate your personally signed Black Lotus (Make sure you sign all your power so you can say that is how you mark your stuff) then that way you can not only win the match, you can get that loser who thought he was worthy enough to sit at the same table across from you put in jail and permanently banned from ever attending another magic tournament. lol isn't the deck borken enough for any of you? One's deck can never be borken enough! This deck has some flaws, serious but not fatal. 1) Fetch Lands - Just look at the inherent weakness of these cards; They require another card to do ANYTHING. They don't draw cards, they don't counter a threat, hell they don't even produce mana!! On top of that they inflict pain to YOU just for the opportunity to get a card that actually DOES something. My suggestions;-5 Fetch Lands+ 3 SCRUBland- The reason to include these should be black and white. They produce mana, also there is the psychological intimidation of your opponent as you look them in the eye and say "SCRUB...land" when you play these. +1 Lotus Petal- This is City of Brass on crack. Not only does it produce mana of any color, it doesn't damage you, and combos well with Yawg. Will! Is it hard to understand why this powerhouse is restricted? +1 Chrome Mox- This is a card whose full use has been underrated by the majority of Type 1 players. While at first it seems to have card disadvantage, this more then made up for in protection, and psychological warfare (Jedi mind tricks win games). Most recognize the power of Brainstorm to "hide" cards from their opponents discard strategies. Well Chrome Mox does that and more! By imprinting a win condition it allows your opponent to SEE what your going to win with (I might suggest using a Foil or other "pimp" version of the card your imprinting for added "fear factor"), causing them to use their resources trying to keep you from getting that kill card back. Also, it produces mana! 2) Juggernaut- This card is much to narrow for such a complicated strategy. While it is a 5/3, it FORCES you to attack!! WTF! This limitation of options is clearly unacceptable. My Suggestion;-1 Juggernaut+1 Sliver Overlord- Now we're talking utility!! Not only does he wreck your opponents alternate Dragon win condition by stealing that ho of a queen, he also can be pitched to Chrome Mox for multi-color mana madness. I have other suggestions, but try these first. I'll have more advise at another time. -Shawn

I imagine most of you have concluded this is a hoax, and you are right if you have. I have read the type 1 boards here for a while, but there's not much type 1 happening around here(well, powered at least), and I've always wanted to post something for posterity. If anyone actually got any useful ideas or at least a laugh, my job is done. I should have posted this in a different forum though, probably the Newb one.
Cheers, frunch

This deck IS viable in Highlander with 60 cards, as I posted before it got randomly deleted by someone random . Although straight-red burn is nasty, this deck can surprisingly do well.
