Blah, blah, Ancestral Recall, blah.

Sorcery
Reveal your hand and draw three cards.  An opponent seperates your hand into two piles.  Remove one of those piles from the game.
Knowledge hastily acquired is hastily lost.

It's kind of like a cheap Fact or Fiction.  The big difference, and the difference that I think makes it not overpowered, is that the opponent gets to divide up your entire hand, and the pile not chosen is removed from the game, closing the FoF loophole with Goblin Welder or Yawgmoth's Will.  Something inspired me to make this yesterday, but then I forgot about it, and now I can't remember what my inspiration was.

So it does dig three cards at instant speed for only one mana.  But your opponent, who we will assume is somewhat intelligent, can force you into a non-complementary hand.  If you want to use it to grab a counterspell, for example, your opponent can force you to either let his spell through, or sacrifice most, if not all, of your hand to counter it.  Or seperate combo pieces from each other, or from mana, or from protection.

EDIT: Changed from Instant to Sorcery (Matt)
EDIT 2: Changed flavor text (Jacob Orlove)

This might be too strong at instant. I would LOVE this as a sorcer, though, to go with the card Prestigitation in our blue master list.

I like this. It would be really good with Shared Fate.

I know this won't happen in a tournament, but if my opponent has Chaos Orb in his hand while I'm controlling his turn from a Mindslaver, who flips the card if I force him to play it and activate it?

Nice. The name could be better, though, and I might change the flavor text to:

Knowledge hastily acquired is hastily lost.[/i]

I like the parallelism.  Flavor text changed.

The name could be better, but I couldn't think of anything else as curt and self-explanatory that could represent quickly acquiring knowledge.

I'll just start the clock here, since this is fine right now.

I'm still looking for name suggestions.
