The budget Mox from Ice Age uses charge counters.  I love charge counter decks.

Can I charge up a Jewelled Amulet with my Coretapper (or Energy Chamber) to have the Amulet provide colorless mana?

Can I store more than one Charge Counter on it, to be released one at a time? (I am assuming yes, if the Coretapper thing works out.)

No.

The charge counters were not put on using the activated ability of the Amulet.  Therefore, they don't have a type of mana assosciated with them.  The Amulet will produce no mana for them.

{1}, {T}: Put a charge counter on Jeweled Amulet. Note what type of mana was used to pay this activation cost. Play this ability only if there are no charge counters on Jeweled Amulet.
{T}, Remove all charge counters from Jeweled Amulet: Add one mana of the type last used to put a charge counter on Jeweled Amulet to your mana pool. Play this ability only if there are one or more charge counters on Jeweled Amulet.

You are right... BUT, suppose we use the first ability to put a charge counter (and doing this we take note of the color used, let's say blue), then later we use the second ability to get the mana.

Later in the game, we use some card to move a charge counter to the amulet. If we then use the second ability, wouldn't we get a mana of the last color chosen (in this case blue), since it reads "Add one mana of the type last used to put a charge counter on Jeweled Amulet to your mana pool"? Even if the card refers to the color used, it does not refer to the color used for the counter we are removing, but just to the color used the last time we put a charge counter chosing a color.

No.

This came up before.  Here is what Jeff Jordan says.

(I'm asking, > because the english in the second ability is confusing me Smile ).

This is a known problem with the interaction of Power Conduit and Jeweled Amulet (and Power Conduit and Ice Cauldron). We are working on a way word the abilities to make it clear that you get mana like what you spent on the artifact's own ability, not on Power Conduit's. For the time being, play them as if their mana abilities read:

Jeweled Amulet: T, Remove all charge counters from Jeweled Amulet: Add one mana, of the type last used by Jeweled Amulet to put a charge counter on itself, to your mana pool. Play this ability only if there are one or more charge counters on Jeweled Amulet.

Ice Cauldron: T, Remove a charge counter from Ice Cauldron: Add to your mana pool mana of the type and amount last used by Ice Cauldron to put a charge counter on itself. Spend this mana only to play the last card removed from the game with Ice Cauldron.

So my Jewelled Amulet only gets it's useful charge counters if it taps, sucking up a (colored) mana, and cannot get any sweeter via Power Conduit or Coretapper?

Well, you can use colorless mana to put the counter on it, but yes you can only get mana by charging it with its own ability.

What does this wording do to help at all? It still works out like:

Turn 1: Pay U and tap to put a counter on.
Turn 2: Activate Amulet to get U. Tap Coretapper to add a counter to Amulet.
Turn 3: Activate Amulet for mana.

At this point, the 'type last used by Jeweled Amulet to put a charge counter on itself' is still U; it hasn't gotten cleared anywhere.

It's a little less simple to understand, but I think a wording change that would make it work as intended would be to change the last clause to 'Play this ability only if there are one or more charge counters on Jeweled Amulet and only if at least one of those counters was created by Jeweled Amulet.' Although actually, you can simplify that to 'Play this ability only if there are one or more charge counters on Jeweled Amulet created by Jeweled Amulet.' This should fix the problem of non-Amulet charge counters being able to get you mana.
