Why Should You Add Goblin Welder To A Bazaar Deck? A Look At An Emerging New Archetype

"The point of my article is simply to convince the reader that Bazaar and Welder are good in the same deck by addressing the common questions/concerns. Cerebral Assassin, while currently the most successful deck to date utilizing the Bazaar + Welder engine, was not the focus of the article - rather, the focus was simply on the engine."

Looking at the deck list, does the deck have difficulty using the force of will's? Having only 10 other blue spells, is that enough to support them?

Consistently, no.

There are several key aspects to consider about Force of Will in this deck, however:

1) Even if you can't consistently cast it, the fact that you have it in your deck means that your opponent will assume that you can consistently play it.

2) Bazaar digging helps compensate for the low blue count.

3) Even such a marginal presence can be crucial in providing an occasional counter or counter-protection.

I really like the theme of the article, and the breakdown of pros and cons was interesting.

However, given how much there is to do with bazaar and welder, I'm surprised there wasn't more content or that you didn't expand on different strategies (besides CA).

VGB's right, this deck uses FoW, similar to how Rectal Agony used FoW, its a stop gap for game winning spells, and it will force through yours.  It's only used in crisis situations, not for 'control' so to speak.  Although, looking at that sentence, and the way most decks in our format operate, it's starting to feel like most spells are 'crisis' situations...
