So here's the stuff I'm cloudy on:
*) You run 12 equip cards + 12 more activated artifacts in the sideboard. When you side Damping Matrix in, does it hurt to give yourself more dead cards than your opponent?
*) Why on earth are you running something like Whispersilk Cloak/Dancing Scimtar over Cranial Plating? You're running 8 cards that grant evasion, when most people don't run more than a few creatures to block. If you want cards, run the Clamp, but if you're concerned about winning, run the Plating. It's much cheaper and better.
*) No Crucible? Aside from protecting key cards, infinite Strip Mine/Wasteland is good stuff, as well as having some pretty savage synergy with City of Traitors and being Workshop-powered.
*) Chalice of the Void is very much a mid-game card, unless you're worried about your combo matchup. I'd suggest moving it to the board and running the dreaded Trinisphere main. It does the same thing, but much better in the early game.
*) Surestrike Trident? Okay, that's 12 pieces of evasion, and you're running this one which is extremely overcosted and bad. What would you ever side this in against? Aside from, you know, RDW in 1.x, what decks are running Moat and Ensnaring Bridge? And wouldn't this slot be better spent killing those pesky cards then paying lots of mana to try and circumvent them?
*) We know how to play creatures and equipment. A better explanation of card choices would be good, and why to play this over something like Workshop Aggro (5/3 style decks), especially when your draw engine is not very good.
And by the way, the readers are smart enough to figure out how equipment stacks.
*)
Attacking with a first turn 8/3 trample, life-gaining or 7/4 trample life-gaining is very common due to redundancy.
For the mana, just run something good, like Sundering Titan, or Tinker->Darksteel Colossus and use the extra slots for more/better acceleration or a draw engine.
P.S.-Don't diss this deck. I onced attacked my opponent with a 9/6 trampling, life-gaining, two damage pinging, card drawing creature by the third turn.
Two things. First, if you need to say don't diss the deck, it probably will be. And Second, I once won the game on turn 1 with a lethal Tendrils of Agony. I then did it with a different deck with a turn 1 Doomsday. And I've also won the game with first turn Trinisphere and first turn Crucible. Big deal.
