Waterbury Day Two is basically going to be a day full of the events you all would like to do on day 1, but the main event takes up all the time.  I will let this thread go in any direction related to planning day 2(see the Room Rate thread, for example), though I will start you off with a list of events that I could see as possibilities...feel free to add to this list.

Mox Tourney

Halo 2 Tourney

Highlander Tourney

Unhinged Tourney

Unhinged Draft

COK Draft

Magic Trivia Part two(I will still have Trivia on day 1)

Type 4 Tourney

Multiplayer Tourney

One Artist Deck Tourney

Minimaster tourney(For those who don't know...entry fee costs $4.  You get one pack, shuffle it up and add 15 land(your choice) and play against a random opponent...winner TAKES the cards from loser, adds them to his and makes a 40 card deck(rest is sideboard) adding any land.  Players are paired randomly and winners take cards again.  They make new decks of 40 min and play until a single winner ends up with ALL the cards.

Poker Tourney(for power, maybe)

Card throwing contest(the triumphant return)

Food eating contest(bacon bits, tacos, etc)

Hot Girl on Girl Action(Just Kidding)

Mental Magic Tourney

Pick your own packs draft(real men use Arabian Nights Boosters)

Team Tourney(Meandeck vs. Shortbus???  Wink )

Any other suggestions.

Highlander, Trivia, and meandeck vs shortbus all sound awesome. If any of those don't happen, my second tier of events would be the artist tournament (ph34r spencer), some kind of bizarro "limited" event (minimaster/solomon/rotisserie), or just random T4 games.

Guay.dec is currently wearing APAC mountains and plains, the way she should be.  I'm ready for the artist challenge.

T4 as a tourney setting is probably not good, since it should be a casual format.

I'd totally play a highlander tourney though.

Ray, are you a fan of tacos?  I fancy a rematch.  Bitch.

Also, per popular request from random people in IRC, I'm going to be completing Cut Man's stage from MegaMan blindfolded.  This is probably going to be on day one, because most of the people requesting it won't be around day two.

SummenSaugen: there's your last dopeness factor point

I would really enjoy a poker event and would be honestly surprised if a lot of people didnt play. Even if it was a fairly small buy-in, a large pot can accumulate fairly quickly to the price of a mox.

<3 more card games on day two!

There's obv gonna be soooooo much Type 4 Sunday, so no events for that(I'm bringing my stack and the other Meandeckers have like 300,000).

I'm all for a Super Smash Brothers Melee tourney Smile

Playing Magic on day 2 just isn't very appealing to me.

I'd want a Mario Kart: Double Dash (or any other version of Mario Kart for that matter) tournament if I were able to stay for the second day.

I know this may sound boring, but I like the idea of having a second type 1 mox tourney on day 2.  I'd be sure to play in it.

I also liked the idea of the mental magic tourney.  Anyone know where I can find the definitive rules for that format?

Type One and Mental both sound good for day two. Granted, if you have a mental tournament, you'll need to spell out very very specific rules, to avoid confusion. Flores wrote a good set of Mental rules not too long again, and I usually go with those. Granted, his "Type One Point Five" was still "Type One without Restricted Cards."

As many as I can fit, though I assume a mox tourney and about 7-12 fun things might give everyone enough to do.

A mox tourney on day 2 would be insane.

Anyone have a room already? I would gladly pay for beer or my share of the hotel cost, whatever....

I would really like to see a team tourney of some point. I would think two vs. two would be excellent, but I'd like to see it fun, instead of competitive, so I would think we could ban things like moxen, and whatnot, and it would accomplish that.

I'm not going, but i really think a type 4 tournament would get nut's.... have everyone bring their type 4 decks and play it like the world series of poker.  put like, 6 people per table, with the top from each table playing the final table...

you should do that type 4 for a mox hahah
