The wording isn't an artifact is weird, at best. You actually have to give it a color, I think, like,

No, it's totally fine to have a colorless creature. Look at Sliver Queen, for example.

If artifact isn't in it's type line, it isn't an artifact, even if only colorless is in it's cost. Putting it in parenthesis means that it is reminder text and not game text, which should be italicized. I too think the wording is a bit off, but it may need it because many people would think it were an artifact (I have seen a lot of Sunweb beatdown).

What was your idea behind the mechanic? I just don't get it. Making one guy potentially huge? This could also be done by a) Putting an X/X with haste into play until end of turn, or b) target Legendary creature gets +X/+X until end of turn. If there is some huge flavor behind this (as there appears to be), then explain it to me, because while it pushes the envelope or whatever, it comes off as being really weird.

It definitely needs the reminder text, because anyone who sees {2}

as the casting cost is going to assume it's an artifact.
