With the idea of "team tournies" floating about for Waterbury day 2.  I was wondering how those rules played out.  Do you actually have 2 players vrs 2 other players in one game? or do you just play a normal tournement and combine records? or whats the deal with that?  If its all one game, are the're any rule changes (can i show my partner a card in hand? ask him questions about play? etc etc)?

On a side note, my friends and I came up with a really strange 2 vrs 2 rule game where you both had separate decks, separate hands, separate turns, you could add mana to your partners pool in any way you could add mana to your pool, you could play sorceries durring your partners main phase ... and you had a common attack phase in wich you attacked both opponents simultaniously (they pooled all creatures into one blocking pool).  It was definatly casual because alot of crazy timing things got totally f-ed up.  But it was fun.

The DCI rules for Team formats can be found in the Magic Floor rules.  You can get this at the DCI Document Center.

I'm not involved with Waterbury, so I can't say how they will be doing things.

There are currently no official Multiplayer rules, although they are being worked on.
