I'd like to congratulate combo_dude as the winner of 3CB Tournament #48
There were no winners of the mise-prize, although a couple of people came close. I don't think I'd have banned the deck, though, given the small sample size.

1.   wonkey_donkey   - It can't come quickly enough -   Mox Sapphire,   Blinkmoth Nexus,   Energy Field
2.   combo_dude   - The Brick -   Hickory Woodlot,   Tempting Wurm,   Tempting Wurm
3.   Alfred   - MWC -   Fountain of Cho,   Devout Witness,   Swords to Plowshares
4.   xthexpunisherx   - Colossus.dec -   Hickory Woodlot,   Channel,   Darksteel Colossus
5.   Upinthe   - Santa's Thief -   Mox Sapphire,   Mishra's Factory,   Magus of the Unseen
6.   corncob   - I can't break Nether Spirit -   Hickory Woodlot,   Naturalize,   Blurred Mongoose
7.   fadeblue   - mise-worthy -   Sheltered Valley,   Soldevi Sentry,   Maze of Ith
8.   CaptainPlanet.dec   - Mask-Not -   Subterranean Hangar,   Unmask,   Royal Assassin

Small tournament, doubtless due to the yuletide stuff. Don't forget to submit a deck for 3CB #49 (send to combo_dude this time) and for the WotW (opening tomorrow)!

Hey, why didn't I go 2-2 versus corncob? My Sheltered Valley nullifies his Mongoose damage...

Because [card]Blurred Mongoose[/card] is 2/1, unlike [card]Nimble Mongoose[/card].

Doesn't Upinthe lose to me? His Magus only targets artifacts, so he can't hit either half of The Brick (TM) or the land.

I hould be 6-0 against wonkey and Upinthe's decks.  I can always destroy the Mox or man-land in either deck which shuts both of them down.

Doh! My mistake... I confused the Blurred with the Nimble. Hmm, so I guess that's another deck I can't go 2-2 against. Still, I think this is one of the strongest contenders for a mise deck.

Yes. No idea how I made that mistake, especially after looking up magus. Bleh. Will change it.

Again, not sure what's going on there. I remember calculating that you beat me, but don't beat Upinthe as his magus can block the mongoose. Will change it.

Fadeblue - it's true that it's a strong contender, but please don't play it all the time (just me and mise decks)!

I think you need to get a little sleep man.  If you can make those kinds of mistakes all in the same tournament ... something's wrong.

Is everything ok?

It's non-lack of exams more than lack of sleep! I was doing them at about 11.30 at night or something like that, which is mitigating if not excusatory circumstances! A bit annoying though as I calculated them correctly but wrote them down wrongly  Sad .

Yeah. And I'm doing this one, so if you think this wasn't great (and it's fine, really, since you normally make about that number of errors even in much larger (17+ decks) tournaments), then just look at mine and all will be solved/look better again. Smile
