Ok, I figured I'd post here where it doesn't clog up any deck talk forums, plus I don't know anymore where I'm allowed and where I'm not. I am planning on playing a B/W "helper deck" pretty soon in a Two-Headed. I need a way to kill morphling that's less conditional than Diabolic Edict. Of course I will be using the Edicts, but Morphling is too much of a pain. In two headed, playing against double mono-blu is perhaps unbeatable, simply because the players are smart enough to keep sufficient counters and fodder to block whatever is coming. In other words, I understand Diabolic Edict will create a threat, but I need more than four cards in my deck to deal with the monster. Remember B/W, playing blue would be so much easier, but I try not to make it easy, especially when I'm playing casual. It's a challenge. Maybe no such card exists, or maybe I'm missing something. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks Peace

I don't know if it agrees with your game plan, but there is always Wrath of God (and its brethren.) If you can't kill the Morphling alone, kill it along with everything else. Extinction, calling Shapeshifter, can rid you of all Morphlings, but leave your side of the table intact.

hehe, got Balance.
Extinction seems a little too expensive, especially while my opponent has counters (I may have to cast multiple spells to break them).
Wrath of God may be good, double white scares me, but I'll give it a try.
How effective might Abbeyance be? I can target Morphling!

Abeyance isn't going to work. They'll just respond to Abeyance by activating the Morphling's ability to make it untargetable. I suppose if Morphling is the only creature about which you're really worried, you could try using Cursed Totem or Damping Matrix to shut down all of its nasty abilities.

Extinction (or Tsabo's Decree) can be very powerful in 2HG as tribal decks are not terribly uncommon.

[card]Tariff[/card] is a good white card to remove a Morphling with. and as long as you and your friend have mana untapped, it won't hurt either of you if you have creatures. Ghostly Prison can also slow down a Morphling player.

I know this won't happen in a tournament, but if my opponent has Chaos Orb in his hand while I'm controlling his turn from a Mindslaver, who flips the card if I force him to play it and activate it?

Um, Chainer's Edict? The flashback option is huge.

Frankly, I'm perturbed no one lauded my idea - it's on-color, relatively cheap, and if you bait with an instant, 2 or 3 copies means uncounterable Morph-kill.

Wing Shards is an excellent idea, VGB. It does, however, have the same double white as Wrath of God, but is nearly impossible to counter due to the storm trigger.
Circle of Protection Blue works too.

Hey pox always kills the morphling along with their hand and manabase and life total to boot. Besides you need a bomb to play after you bait out those counters with innocent bloods.

Why do you want to kill Morphling when you can simply Entomb a Control Magic and Replenish it to get your own Morphling?

persecute splash red for void splash blue for llawan, cephalid empress creature wise commander eesha provides plenty of headaches for morphling. will-o'-the-wisp forces it to the defense for a mere cost of B. Sacred Mesa is also effective at nutering morphling, at the same time serving as a kill condition for white. If you have it.. forcefield can also work kind of.. at least you force the guy to tap out to deal significant damage and under other circumstances it can act something like a CoP:Creatures. Or if your deck allows it, you can play armageddon. One thing which throws off morphling and a blue player is mass land destruction/mana denial. Anyway these are just off ideas, most of them were already given by the others.

Mixing Mike: It doesn't kill it. Well you maybe should re-read the initial post. Pentavus obviously kills Morphling dead....... ...and opposed to Cursed Totem and Humility it even kills the opponent ontop!
