Hi all,

First of all, I want to thank everyone who braved the elements in order to make the trip to Richmond this past Saturday. The weather seriously impacted attendance at this event (and my Prerelease), but everyone who was there seemed to have a great time.

That having been said, I would like to clarify my position on two issues.

1) When I first announced the 2005 Star City "Power Nine" Tournament Series, I personally guaranteed that I would *always* give away the complete set of P9, regardless of attendance. Although the "Blizzard of 2005" was obviously beyond my control, it did not affect my ability to keep that promise, nor will it ever. If I promise a complete set of P9, then that's what you'll get. No excuses. Ever.

2) This past weekend, a large percentage of the U.S. Prereleases were all but decimated by the blizzard. A freak weather occurence is not going to influence WotC's decision to keep running Prereleases, nor will it influence my commitment to the Star City "Power Nine" Tournament Series. I am in this for the long-term, and hope that you will continue to support my efforts.

So who's coming to Syracuse? Very Happy

You guys are my heroes.  Seriously, to have taken a hit like that and to still keep your heads and hold firm is exactly what this format needs to keep growing, and hopefully to keep providing SCG with some extra income. Smile  Thank you!

I love Starcity.  I'm so totally at Syracuse, and this time there won't be an Eric Miller to stop my winning streak.

I can certainly vouch for that!  It was a great time, and everyone I talked to was already excited about the next one.

I'm not a big traveler, but I do plan on making to one of the syracuse tourneys.

Too bad I will be.  I'm very sad that I can't go to the rest of them due to travel costs and entry fees.  Getting paid biweekly is tough whe you have expensive hobbies.

I agree. Though none of the events are close enough for me to attend (you know, I'd drive to Boston for a SCG event just look to see how well Myke does), I think it's admirable.

Wonderful job with these events, I myself will be attending all 3 chicago events in an attempt to break out into the format.  I look forward to seeing the folks i've heard so much about as I scrub out to them in rounds 1 and 2.

These events alone are why I've decided to get into vintage competitavely.  Way to go.

Richmond was a spectacular event despite the weather, and I expect that the remaining events will be even better.

Pete, you are the man.  Same goes for everyone at StarCityGames.  I have a tremendous amount of fun at these tournaments and plan my months around them .  Depending on whether I become a member of the US Coast Guard or not, I will try to hit as many of these as possible.  I'm all about the road trips with a car full of friends and a day full of magic.
