I was rather excited when I heard Betrayers would introduce Ninja, but I was left underwhelmed when I finally saw them. I don't know why, since they aren't slouches compared to other mechanics, but maybe they just didn't come together like other marquee tribes like Rebels and Slivers. [Maybe that's because ninjas aren't a tribe, but are instead a secret society concerned with the development of real, ultimate power! - Knut, who thinks maybe not]

Anyway, Ninja of the Deep Hours is probably one of the first Ninjas you'd look at for Type I, and it draws immediate comparisons to that famous Weatherlight common, Ophidian. Unfortunately, you won't look for long.

it's worth a try.  I don't think it warrants a 4 of tho.  To conditional.

I'd like to imprint My Cock on that. If she handles it right, it makes white mana.

Although somebody will probably go through the trouble of posting an in-depth T4 BoK set review, that person is not I.

The quick and dirty list of cards to look for, though, are:

Final Judgment - definitely the best sorcery speed creature only removal to date, but the fact that the creatures aren't reanimatable could be a situational hindrance.

Sway of the Stars - an extraordinarily powerful effect; it's sort of like Timetwister + Biorhythm + Obliterate - except that being put into Searing Wind/Urza's Rage territory whilst refilling everybody's hands and using up your spell for the turn is kinda sketchy.

Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni - like was already stated, a Bone Dancer with more surprise value and a big body to boot - and the regeneration is nice also.

Heartless Hidetsugu - a nice ability on a decent sized body, but the question is whether this beastie is ever allowed to live long enough to activate it.

Twist Allegiance - a strictly worse Reins of Power.  Which still isn't that bad.

Enshrined Memories - patently broken; the only thing keeping it in check is its sorcery speed.

That Which Was Taken - multiple divinity counters on Myojin (esp. White, Green, and Black) is just sick.  Plus the ability to render free indestructability/counters can be quite handy.

Because it would be redundant.

The ninja is certainly an damn near uncounterable phid when combined with factory.  It could also allow getting more threats down under 3sphere.  The real issue is likely the tempo ie attacking with creatures is a turn slower than any real deck.

It is a good read in any case. The best way I will have in seeing witch cards will be any good is to use them. You never know some one might find something that works well or even starts a new deck idea that works.
