This has to be the most challenging and entertaining riddle I have ever done.

http://www.notpron.com

This riddle will keep you busy for weeks trying to solve it.  It might be tempting to give up early, but once you've solved a few levels it gets addictive.

I started it a couple days ago and am on level 22 (of 81).  Be prepared to give up hours of your time though.

I spent a couple of hours on this and got to like 15, and then made an executive decision to stop so it didn't suck my entire weekend away.

Their website was slow and I couldn't clearly understand what it was I was solving, so I lost patience and went to work instead.

Internet usability studies: vindicated again!

Most of the puzzles involve clues in the source code.  Some of them the picture doesn't matter much at all, in others it is integral.  It involves a lot of lateral thinking.  Also, some are very dependent on a person having a particular skill, like identifying musical notes by sound or being proficient with photoshop or similar programs.

Before going to bed I decided I would do one more level, two hours later I had no idea I had been working on it for more than 5 minutes, but I did pass that level.

Look at the title, and then do exactly as it says.  It is hard to see in the dark, so make it brighter.

It's not just a point and click thing.  Everything about the page can be used as hints or even the passage to the next level, such as: title, text, url, source code, picture, etc.

There are two ways around level two.

Level 3, read the title and url.

Level 3 is confusing the hell out of me. I can't figure out what to do. Hell, I'm surprised I found my way past level one. I think I skipped level two though.

In level three, the you need to go up to the URL and change something. There is only one logical change.

Yeah- I figured that one out, and subsequent ones. I'm up to level 8 now, and probably will not get further.

Yeah, 8 was hard.

Read the line below the picture.  What jumps out at you?  Say it fast.  What does it sound like?

Source code is your friend.  You'll have to download something.

I lost six hours of my life (well, life that would've been spent at work) on this puzzle reaching level 24.

At the beginning few levels there's a link to the forums, which contains hints (albeit hints by smart-assed internet users who eat this stuff for breakfast).  Be careful not to read too far into the forums, I had an entire level ruined for me because people give too much away.

Other than spoiling it for you  Sad , the forums can often set you on the right track.

I will break into your house while you aren't home and disguise myself as a chair. Then I will leave before you get home, but there will be a place at your table where I was a chair and you will wonder why there isn't a chair there. Then later I will leave the chair disguise on your doorstep and you will realize what has happened and you will be afraid all the time. Helter Skelter mother fuckers!

Yeah- the forums have helped a lot. This thing is really addictive though, and it's wasting a lot of my time. Oh well. I'm going to keep going until it gets too hard or something like that.

I ended up on level 25 before quitting because it required me to download a better photo editor than the free Windows Paint or Imaging.  Even if the program is free, I didn't want to download it.  At least now I can end this waste of time.  I found nearly every answer by looking in the forums.

Ump, I'm on 25 as well, and I don't have good enough photo editing software either.  I downloaded something simple they said would get the job done, but so far no luck with it.

When I have time I intend to finish it though.

I'm on 18, but I don't know if I will be able to finish it, having no profiency in the needed skill for that level. Will have to ask a friend.
