If it will help to clarify my deck, I am playing the full waste/strip effect.  The following has worked so far and has also dealt with the other issue I have seen in Swords to Plowshares

1 Underground Sea
1 Volcanic Island
3 Island
1 Swamp
4 Waste Land
1 Strip Mine
1 Library of Alexandria
1 Mox Jet
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Mox Ruby
1 Mox Pearl
1 Black Lotus

~Engine~
4 Oath of Druids
1 Akroma, Angel of Wrath
1 Spirit of the Night
1 Gaea's Blessing

~Draw and Fetch~
1 Ancestral Recall
4 Brainstorm
3 Skeletal Scrying
1 Demonic Tutor
2 Cunning Wish

~Counters and Removal~
4 Mana Drain
4 Force of Will
2 Misdirection

4 Duress
1 Pernicious Deed (Used versus EE for Platinum Angel)

~~~~Sideboard~~~~~~
1 Platinum Angel
1 Plated Slagwurm
1 Ancient Hydra
1 Vampiric Tutor
1 Fact or Fiction
1 Naturalize
1 Oxidize
1 Rack and Ruin
1 Coffin Purge
Why do you bother with plated slagwurm in the sideboard? He doesn't trample and runs into their orchard tokens all day long.
Irridescent angel is strictly better than plated slagwurm because it flys, effectively evading orchard tokens. You run 5 strips so what's the problem? Maze of ith shouldn't even be an issue unless your meta is _dominated_ by parfait and its  unstoppable maze of ith + sacred ground combo  Confused .
I don't know if you took my earlier suggestion for Plated Slagwurm or if you had thought of it  yourself.  But as my own playtesting has shown, its not as good as it sounds.
If your opponent is playing a deck with Swords to Plowshares, its actually great. Otherwise, it does no good.
I am fiddling with various creature combination to change up Meandeck a tad.  As I mentioned before, I do run 3 creatures and have found this to be much more effective than 2.
Most of the critters I've tried are not working. However, I have found Ancient Hydra to be effective. That card alone shut down a workshop deck last night.
Getting the AH with 2 Oath of Druids on the board is 5 damage every turn. He's a mini-gun.
Currently I'm running Akroma, Ancient Hyrda, Plat.  That seems to work pretty good. Though 1 more hasty creature would be nice....which brings me right back to SotN.  I'd probably drop the Plat to my SB for SotN.
Currently, I'm not sure which version to pick: The traditional U/G Oath or the Ugb Oath.
The U/g Oath doesn't have as much disruption as the Ugb Oath and runs on the Intuition/AK engine. The Ugb Oath on the other hand runs Duresses and 3 Skeletal Scrying as the draw engine, along with Cunning Wishes.
What are the pros and cons of the 2 different variants?
PS: is there a link to a thread regarding the DOA Oath, cuz i've seen one thread that looks like a mini primer for the DOA Oath?
