Please post the entire deck list. Depending on what slivers you're running, it might make sense to run green as a base color, for cards like the Joiner Adept Matt suggested, but we need to know what cards you're running to make that call.

Here's an fun minicombo i use occasionally to get a solid multicolor manabase.

Gaea's Balance + Planar Birth

Not only does it get you all 5 colors,  it gives you 1 more card advantage than Ancestral Recall with the same net cost  Wink .

I actually seen a Sliver deck with the manabase of 4 CoB, 4 Thran Quarry, 4 Gemstone Mine, 4 Archeological Dig, 4 Reflecting Pool, 2 Undiscovered Paradise, and 2 Grand Coliseum.  To make a long story short, it sucked not because the manabase was weak (you don't see that many wasteland in casual play), but because you really needed to punch out a lot of slivers to present a threat.

Since you already have a Sliver Toolbox set up, why don't you diversify your slivers? A lot of the older slivers are amazing under certain circumstances,  such as Acidic Sliver and Victual Sliver. I would suggest running them as 1-ofs.

Horned, Plated, and Blade Slivers always felt really weak. Slivers generally are exceptionally weak with amazing abilities granted by the Legions slivers, so why don't you make them scary disablers instead of mediocre attackers? I find a combination of Hunter, Toxin, and Synapse Sliver to be better. Plus Shifting Sliver makes Horned look bad.

If you do choose to use the combo i listed above, why don't you consider Spectral Sliver? Instead of giving minor boosts here and there via Plated and Hunter, Spectral makes them into mini Nantuko Shades.

My friend ran survival of the fittest and squee in a higlander sliver deck.  It can be a good tool to get a ceartin sliver with abilities when you need it.

It occurs to me that the single best card for your manabase would be Ęther Vial.

I personally would run somthing like this:

4 scrubland
4 Tropical island
4 Tiaga (sp?)
4 Bayou
4-5 Fetchlands
2-3 basic lands

Vial would probably be a good call.

With the sliver tool box idea i would go with Living wish moving some of the mosre situational slivers to the SB.

I personally use countersliver with the blue based dual lands.

Just because I play Fish all the time, even when it's terrible (see since September '04, at least around here), I built an extremely tempo-based CounterSliver deck built around Standstill, with AEther Vial as a mana fixer. It's fun like crazy, no joke. One discepancy between my build and yours is the total lack of Sliver diversity in mine. However, the Standstill draw engine really makes up for the lack of diversity - numbers for me were better than a good toolbox. Also, as a direct result of using all older slivers, this deck is good in multiplayer despite Standstill, because your threats often evade their removal (Crystalline Sliver is an absolute house).

4 Winged Sliver
4 Muscle Sliver
4 Crystalline Sliver
3 Hibernation Sliver
3 Acidic Sliver

4 Standstill
4 AEther Vial

4 Force of Will
4 Accumulated Knowledge
1 Intuition
R Demonic Tutor
1 OPEN

4 Birds of Paradise
4 Polluted Delta
4 Tropical Island
3 Underground Sea
2 Tundra
2 Volcanic Island

DAMN I drew a lot of cards with this deck.

However, barring both draw engines, with a little mana base tweaking you could easily fit 4x Living Wish and a Sliver wishboard.

This is probably not what you're looking for, but it's worth mentioning.

When Legions came out, I grabbed some Cryptic Gateways and built a manabase for slivers like this:
I used Imagecrafter (which comboes nastily with Callous Oppressor and Peer Pressure), a bunch of the cheaper mistforms plus Mistform Sliver, and used Cryptic Gateway to pop out uncounterable Slivers at end of turn.  You can actually do all kinds of broken tricks with it, like popping out regenerating blockers at instant speed.  It's about as bad as expected though.  You can also use Darksteel Ingot as a sort of 5color manafixing, if you can afford to wait that long.

This may seem like bad advice but my casual group is slightly less powered/competitive than it seems like yours is.

4 ancient tombs, 4 city of traitors, 4 crystal quarries, some other irrelevant lands.

I also did a lot of messing around with a Countersliver deck a long time ago.  Mox Diamonds helped a lot, but this was when I could run 4.  One each of Diamond and Chrome could be helpful (since Chrome can tap for two different colors in some cases).

Also: 4 Cities, 4 Reflecting Pools, and 4 Thran Quarries could be cool.  Other than that, it's a mix of Brushland/Adarkar Waste/Underground Sea, unless you feel like messing with duals.

This supported a creature base of (I think):

4 Muscle Slivers
4 Winged
4 Crystalline
3 Hibernation

Hmmm.  Thinking up decks from years past is pretty difficult.  Maybe it'd be best to ignore the whole CounterSliver thing and base your build off the old Sliving Death?

I will break into your house while you aren't home and disguise myself as a chair. Then I will leave before you get home, but there will be a place at your table where I was a chair and you will wonder why there isn't a chair there. Then later I will leave the chair disguise on your doorstep and you will realize what has happened and you will be afraid all the time. Helter Skelter mother fuckers!
