Please answer if you are a sports fan.

Is today the best weekday for sports ever?  Whats on the TV for sports today?

1.  First round of the NCAA Basketball Championship
2.  Testimony before Congress regarding Steroids in baseball
3.  Shaq/Kobe 2

Shaq v. Kobe 2!!  The first time was awesome, here's hoping the Heat don't just *totally* blow the Lakers out of the water this time either.  I mean, I want to see the Lakers lose, too, but maybe they can make a game out of it. Smile

Unless they move the NFL Draft up to this afternoon, then today is just another ho-hum day.

March Madness is fine... by itself it makes this a good sports day... but lets look at the rest...
Baseball has lost its grip as America's game... like 20 years ago. Its not even number 2 anymore.  And so we get a congressional hearing on a washed up sport??  Outstanding!! Sure Baseball has some devoted fans... but so do bowling and Hockey... neither really qualifies as 'best sports day' material.  Honestly I think poker is more watchable than baseball... a damned card game!
Kobe-Shaq 2?   ok, the first time maybe it was fun to watch the young punk get humbled, but its been done... and they dont even guard each other. How interesting is it really now, how many sequals before its old hat? I dont like this idea of Kobe-Shaq 15... Revenge of the Revenge of the Big Diesel Empire: The Final Chapter, Part 3.  Shaq is a superstar, Kobe is a spoiled brat... we all get it.

I guess if you are goign to limit it to just weekdays, then that removes the NFL entirely...  and sure anything goes after you remove the most popular sport in the country. March Madness is certainly an awesome sports time of year, but you want to say best day ever it needs to have something actually interesting going on to make it different than any other March Madness weekday...    C-SPAN and a soap-opera-sequel do not qualify in my book.

Josh is clearly Communist w/ his anti-American hatred of Baseball.

However, it's considered a horrible congress-day.

Not good as in good for sports, but good as in being good watching for someone interested in sports.  I believe the fallout from the hearings yesterday will be felt for quite some time to come in baseball circles.

I'm kinda of the opinion that the House has much better things to worry about.

EDIT: Apparantly I am wrong, because today the House subpoenad a brain-dead woman.
