On the original site there are people from France and Germany and other countries saying how ignorant and asshole-ish we are. This includes a french person saying we should have never interfered during WW2.. Usually internet pop culture can be cool, but this sparked alot of hate towards Americans from alot of people. (Be they, ignorant people or not.)

Schpadoinkal! Kudos. The song definitely bears viewing, no matter if you aren't American. Although I strongly suggest watching Team America: World Police beforehand. I kinda hate to get in a political discussion using this movie (and probably a couple of episodes of South Park), but some of the things pointed out make sense (do not assume which things I am talking about, please). A good way of summing up the way people can take offense to this: I showed a different link on the loveit or leaveit site to a couple of coworkers (the Good Wife's Guide from 1955). After laughing about how things were back then, and commenting on the insanity of printing something like that today, another coworker (female) piped up. (By the way, this is the same person that, were you to drop a bowling ball on her foot 9 times, she would still be surprised to find out that it hurt on the tenth time. Boss's daughters - genetically qualifying for better jobs than you since ever). She then let loose on me with a huge pile of 'insensitive', 'disrespectful', and other words that she learned reading the dictionary. She literally had a failure to recognize it as a humorous way of pointing out a now defunct way of life in America. People offended by this link (to me) are the same way - they don't see it as a humorous satire of our global policy (and hell, it even glorifies some of our trashiest pasttimes - how CAN you take it seriously?!)

The America video is awesome!
Best scene is where the monster truck flies through the air over the grounded plane, and then those explosions trigger in the background. Beautifully executed.

In either case you should ignore 100% of the words they type. Also this video was awesome.

Actually, the President and most Americans thought America should stay out of WWII.
Then Japan hit Pearl Harbor. America declared war on Japan but forgot to declare war on Germany. To be fair the Japanese had forgotten to declare war on America.
Germany declared war on America then attacked the Atlantic coast with subs (well, not strictly speaking the coast, you know what I mean)
So basically it was the Nazis who decided that America should not stay out of WWII in Europe. (I'll not include selling arms which America had no problems doing)
I'm a fairly right-wing pro-American sort of guy (I'm sure glad you replaced the Brits as the most hated people) but regarding WWII I wouldn't be too proud of 1936-Dec 1941 if I were you.
Having said that, the French do often seem damned ungrateful for the 1944-5 bit.
There also appears to be little recognition of the role America played in keeping Europe free (well, half of it at least) after 1945. (historical fact - Stalin was not a nice man)

Speaking as a recent ex-high school student, I can tell you that the time period which you are referring to gets mentioned in our history books almost as much as authentic cannibal cuisine gets practiced in Home Economics. For those of you unfamiliar with American high school practices (we aren't really barbaric, I swear) this means exactly zero.

I'd just like to add that when it goes 'Sportsmanship Fuck Yeah!' while showing the picture of the little kid with the middle finger - that is in fact a Dutch boy, wearing a Feyenoord logo on his shirt (an infamous soccer club from Rotterdam).
Summarizing: Holland - Fuck Yeah!

I don't know, the French didn't actually really intervene with their advisers and their fleet until after the battle of Saratoga in 1777 - a crushing American victory all on our own. Once that Louis XVI knew that America actually had some sort of chance, then he sent in his aid. Winning a major battle helps.
As for WWII, it's honestly kinda hard to see where America would've been able to do anything before about 1940 anyways (the American army was in no condition to do ANYTHING before the draft). We would've been outclassed in a general European war if we were in it in 1940, and the largest battle fleet in the world would not have been very helpful in the cause.
