Alright, alright, enough is enough. Many Auriok Salvager based decks out there are now winning power. This I have envisioned since Salvagers hit the stage, but I am still only 1 year into actual Tournament T1 quality play.
The one thing I noticed most about Salvager decks, is that they rely completely on the Black Lotus as their Primary combo piece. Granted, we Salvagers players can get by on Lion's Eye Diamond, but Black Lotuses are...well...Black Lotuses! Are there any other decks out there (Viable or not...) that are pure Black Lotus Combo decks? I know that ancient, antiquidated Reap/Lace builds kinda relied on Black Lotus, and curent Tier 1 decks simply LOVE having Black Lotus in their opening hands, but what builds out there (or were there) that relied on Black Lotus for the kill? (Long.dec....understood. 1 Lotus, 4 Lion's Eye...I know...) but other than that? What Black Lotus decks exist?

What Black Lotus decks exist? I do believe about 99% of any competitive type one deck/archetype runs a lotus, check for yourself. Hence, in answer to your question, all decks are black lotus decks [/quote]

Every deck but Fish Incorrect. Many Fish builds now run Black Lotus, and I know several members of the board advocate the running of Black Lotus in Fish. Any combo deck relies on Black Lotus. You can combo out with DeathLong without it, but it sure makes life a lot easier (it's usually essential for those turn 1-2 wins). I'd say I tutor for Black Lotus about 90% of the time, and it's involved in turn 1 wins nearly all the time, with a high percentage of involvement in turn 2 wins as well. So I'd say that any combo deck is a Black Lotus deck. In fact, I'll say that the banning of Black Lotus would hurt combo more than the restriction of Dark Ritual ever would.

Guys, he's asking for decks that could not win without Lotus. To wit, the meandeck Doomsday builds (the ones that kill with Desire/Beacon of Destruction) absolutely need Black Lotus.

I want MEANDECK REAPLACE. Cmon you know you want to guys.. It could run.. DARK RITUAL.
Hehe, I would love to see Steve or someone win a piece of power with ReapLace.
In general Lotus is just as good as 3 land for one turn so why not run it?

Everyone, stop being retarded. He is clearly asking for "black lotus decks" not "decks with black lotus in them". Christ on a turkey spit!

Doomsday seems like the only one that I can think of which couldn't just replace it with LED.

The first time I saw a Reap/Lace build, it involved Lotus Petals and Dark Rituals and Drain Life. Uber budget 9th grade stuff. Way cool, even if it only worked 10% of the time. But it did not need a Black Lotus.
Lotus Petal, however does not make Salvager decks run. Are Salvager decks the ONLY TRUE Black Lotus deck out there? Ever?
I only started this thread due to my obvious infatuation with Salvager decks, and the scrub meta I live in has only my real Lotus as a frame of reference (though I've worked hard to get the locals to proxy up the damn things), but the Black Lotus is the Holy Grail of Magic: The Gathering.
Are there any other Black Lotus combos that are Possible? or are Salvagers the ONLY Combo card capable of handling Salvagers?
I'm even asking if there are "Enduring Renewal" jank type combos out there that wouldn't even stand a chance of competing against ForceofWill.dec, but somehow combo out with the Blllllllllack Loooooootus? (Lion's Eye Diamond is substitute enough as a Black Lotus for purposes of "Finding The Black Lotus Deck" inquiry here.)
Thanks to anyone who comes up with anything.

Aren't all the "will + will tutors" combo decks just lotus decks? It is possible to win without it but isn't lotus/led + will/tutors-for-will combination the main engine?

Well, it can go off with Time Walk too. very true and very fun. salvagers can go off with LED so its a tie... But reaplace wins in coolness factor.

Christ on a turkey spit!
aahahaha, sorry that is just too funny. Reaplace sure...oath of auriok/salvager oath....DDD, already mentioned... if you fooled around, you could probably come up with a 3 card combo involving lotus recursion...and go infinite...? heh..
