"Broken?" Tutor

I was just sitting back and thinking of a great tutor, but with a huge draw back. Check this out to see if it is too powerful, or is the drawback great enough for the power level it provides.

As an additional cost to playing "Broken?" Tutor, remove the cards in your hand from the game.

Search your library for a card and put that into your hand. Your life becomes 1.

It would be awsome in combo, but I'm not sure about other types of decks.

I think draw back is unmanageable as most combo must have a back-up plan or else their first spell just gets countered.

Demonic tutor only costs one more mana, and has no drawback at all.  Vampiric tutor costs the same, and admittedly is a turn slower, but only costs you 2 life and none of your hand.  Those drawbacks seem pretty insane.  Even with only one of those drawbacks, the card would still hardly be any better than demonic (which is rather broken, but not on the scale that it should clear your hand and set your life to 1)

This is either broken or useless. Neither is a good card to make.
