I'd like to congratulate ReAnimator as the winner of 3CB Tournament #53.
Trinisphere's first victory has been a long time coming, but this was the right time to be playing it. A few new decks about the place made the metagame slightly unpredictable, and trinisphere showed itself to be a good solid choice. Congratulations!

A smaller field, but not catastrophically so. Interesting mix once again, though - good to see some innovation coming in. Let me know what you think of the proposed changes to the banned list suggested in the thread for 3CB #54.

I should win 6-0 vs. wonkey_donkey, even when you get the bridge down, the vinyard forces you to take mana burn, while I just make creature every turn, and 2 damae will kill you before you can gambit me for leathel damage.

A Winnar is Me!! Very Happy

Sweet i've never won one of these before, I'm glad I ran the steel golem over the Chimeric Idol as that one extra toughness was key in the seudo mirror against Nazdakka.  Very Happy

Ouch!  wonkey_donkey beat Scrub Agent with two cards.  At first I thought there's no way his deck wins... Scrub Agent easily anything Ensnaring Bridge based.  But I thought about the matchup a few more times and it plays out like this:
wonkey_donkey lays his Mercadian Bazaar and takes his useless Ensnaring Bridge and throws it away.  I drop the Sleeper Agent and lay on Spirit Link... Boo ya... combo'd out!  You take 2 damage a turn and I gain two life a turn. Meaning you can't Flaming Gambit me out!  Boo ya.  But alas, wonkey_donkey is right on the scoreboard, and he simply Flaming Gambit's himself for 3, crushing the Sleeper Agent.  Then he can take his time and Flaming Gambits me out.  What a good game!

It's quality games like this that make 3cB awesome.  Shame Scrub Agent simply loses to any deck with creature removal, or anything with two threats... or... or ... or...

Correct, although it's a bit more complicated. I misremembered flaming gambit - I thought I could just destroy your village when you animated it with flaming gambit, but I can only choose to do a bit of damage to you. I need too many turns to win, so I don't.  Corrected.

Not unless you can come up with a very convincing reason to ban it.

I agree entirely - far too often there are not desperately complicated matchups that have been seen many many times before. Two new decks always prove interesting to calculate. This one was quite neat, though, I felt Smile .

The Gods' Eye deck is good in theory, but has a small fault with it, as has been shown. It's a pretty useful card in 4CB, though, certainly, and given the number of draws in this round it would be a pretty strong deck were it to have a seperate win condition!
