Mind Corruption - 1B
Sorcery
Target opponent reveals his or her hand. Choose a nonland card from it. That player discards that card.  Lose life equal to that spell's converted mana cost.

Obviously this is frightfully worse than Duress, especially at 1B although it can hit creatures, but Wizards is towning down discard in a lot of ways, and I feel this is more interesting of a card, and on about the right power level for standard/block play.

This is also frightningly worse than Distress, which just saw print in Champions of Kamigawa. For {B} {B}, that let you grab any nonland card without any life payment at all.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.
