I'm rather disappointed that I just spent 5 minutes here reading this thread. This is just another one of those "I hate Dark Ritual, which was represented in all of 15 real decks at Star City (only one of which T8ed, and I'm not counting the suicide decks that had Rituals in them), so it needs to go, but 50% of the field packing Mana Drains is A-ok" threads. Seriously. In fact, I'm disappointed in myself that I actually bothered to reply to this. Yeah, cards should come on/off at ten+. Otherwise you could add any random card at 8. This also prevents people from bumping a card up to like 50 to make it untouchable, since you can just pull it off and then put it back at 10.

I'm not going to make changes to the list because I already did today (got Welder restricted! woohoo!). I just think that it's amazing how loved Mana Drain is. I think it will never get restricted in this little game of ours simply because of how loved the card is. It can get close to 0... but someone will give it a push up. I believe we all know that the card is REALLY broken, and just how much by now, but it's one of those type 1 staples... besides, there's SO much that should get the axe before  |
