Ambush - 2W
Instant
As an additional cost to play Ambush tap an untapped creature you control.

Destroy all attacking creatures.

The name will have to change (Ambush is actually an existing card, so is Ambush Party).  However I agree with Ephraim about trying to create interesting white cards that involve tactics and manuvers.

Current wording:
CARDNAME - 1WW
Instant
As an additional cost to play CARDNAME, tap any number of untapped creatures you control.
Destroy X target attacking creatures, where X is the number of creatures tapped this way.
You may only play CARDNAME during combat before blockers are declared.

Changes:
1) Adopted Eph's wording, put the cost at 1WW
2) Took Eph's suggestion about playing during combat[/B]

The flavour would be better served and the power level of this card would be somewhat more moderate if this were instead...

{W} {W} ({1} {W}?)
Instant
As an additional cost to play ~this~, tap any number of untapped creatures you control.
Destroy X target attacking creatures, where X is the number of creatures tapped this way.

Note that I have made it less expensive, in exchange for requiring more creatures to be tapped. It isn't sensible to suppose that one creature could handle an entire army. This also emphasizes tactics better because it still requires you to make decisions about what to hold back. This then essentially makes each of your creatures into a super-blocker. It can block any one creature and that creature will automatically die.

Wow, that is hugely powerful. Even worse in limited. Rare for sure.

I was wary of this before, but I think it's definitely okay now. The restriction of having untapped creatures for each attacking creature you want to destroy doesn't seem tremendously ridiculous compared to Wing Shards. Wing Shards is very good, but it will do something without a storm count. This won't do anything without at least one untapped creature. If this is still seen as too powerful, another good way to limit this would be to say, "Play ~this~ only during combat before blockers are declared."That way, you couldn't block with your untapped creatures, cast this, and tap those blocking creatures to kill different attacking creatures.
