I'm a tiny bit concerned about the power level of this card. Is it really okay for a 4cc card to tap to put a creature token into play? I know that something like Wirewood Hivemaster has greater potential for brokenness, but it requires a specialized deck to do it. This just unconditionally gives you a squirrel token every turn -- it's like a small Verdant Force.
I also have some qualms about the flavour. Sacrificing creatures to get mana out of them is more of a black ability. Green has done it, but not for a long time. It might be a little bit more palatable if this used Saproling tokens instead of Squrrel tokens. Although they're technically creatures, too, getting mana out of a lump of animated fungus seems more appropriate than getting mana out of a cute, woodland creature.

also, I would like to address the issu of this set's lack of fat. Do you think I could get away with making him a 2/3? It would increase the card's effectiveness.

Actually, I disagree with "Fungus Rancher" - maybe it's because I'm English and therefore the idea of "ranching" doesn't really affect us here (because there isn't the land to do it), but I think it sounds awkward. "Saproling Harvester", maybe? Or is that too black?
