I've been looking into mailing a lot of cards to artists to be signed, has anyone done this? Would then recommend it?

Additionally, my deck is a lot more pimp in my eyes because I haven't paid even close to current value for any of these cards. I got my set of Bazaars for 25 bucks, a Misdirection, and a WB Dual. Everything else, except the Beta Animates, is pretty much from a friend who had the collection back in the day who legitimately wanted to give me a deal, even after I showed him current prices.

I personally think signatures are much cooler than foil/ foreign, especially when they're from other players.

ya i sent in my brainstorms to be signed, took about 3 weeks give or take a few days, I concur that having an artist or a player sign a card is sweetness, but even hotter when the card is foil already.

It all depends on the artist, some are more reliable then others.  The best one that I have done business with was Anthony Waters, he signed everything I asked and even doodled on my mat for no charge, he'll even throw you on his newsletter list that tells you what he's auctioning off and whatnot, very cool guy.  Others are okay, but they are usually pretty slow in sending stuff back.  Generally, if you have a stack from one artist worth a lot of cash, just email them first to make sure they can ship it back insured or something and just send them the cash to cover cost + a little extra to get on their good side .
