Taken from GenCon.com today (Changes can happen up to May 16th)-

The Vintage championship (tcg00115) (Compete in the 3rd Annual Vintage Championship Tournament. Swiss rounds based on attendance plus single-elimination Top 8. Winner receives an original piece of Vintage Magic artwork. Details at www.wizards.com) 8/20/05 @ 10 am

Vintage Tourney: 8/18 @ 1pm (tcg00230), 8/19 @ 10pm (tcg00231), 8/20 @ 7pm (tcg00232), 8/21 @ 12pm (tcg00233)

Vintage Championship Prelim Tournament (tcg00229): (Vintage Format. Swiss rounds based on attendance plus single-elimination Top 8. Winner receives a 2-round bye at the 2005 Vintage Championship.) 8/19 @ 3pm

$500 Vintage Tournament (tcg00117): 8/19 (no start time yet). I sure hope it's no a late start time as they have been prone to do with the $250.00 the last few years.

Event ticket pre-registration is May 16th (Noon PST) to July 11, 2005 (Noon PST). The ball is rolling and we have dates!

It looks like it is confirmed that there will be another piece of art for the championship. The two round bye for the prelim is interesting. It's also nice they bumped the $250.00 to $500.00, now as long as that tourney doesn't start late in the PM I'll be happy.

the baby is due on Labor Day, but with babies, they pretty much decide to make an appears at their leisure in that last few weeks so heading to GenCon would be decidedly unadviseable for me this year.

Well, fine then, the pregnant wife can serve as a hippo token....

Well, I'm probably not going this year unless I win one of the gencon events where they give away money and byes to go there. Unless somebody wants to buy my set of workshops.... Wink

Family > Magic I totally understand.

It looks like the back log to register has died down and you can register as of now. Also there are only 397 of 400 slots left for the championship. So there is still plenty of time and slots.

You have to pre-register for the Vintage Championship now?

No you don't have to pre-reg for the event, but I always do to make things easier. No running around last minute trying to get event tickets before the event (cough*crazycarl*cough Very Happy). Are you gonna make again this year kl0wn?

I'm shooting for it, but I never plan things very far in advance. You never know what might happen between now and August. It's likely though.

well if the colorado crew makes it out, they shoudl definitely room with the psychos from michigan. That always seems to work out well. This time I am bringing only good drink too... none of that horrible castillo gold I had last time.

They shouldn't be doing a simple Mox... for now, so I'm pretty curious about the new art:

Well I dont intend to drive, and it sounds like mr dizzle will already be there. The pandemonium crew will almost for sure all be going down, as I get figured out what we are doing I will try to make that info known. It may be that some of the Blue Dragon guys might be going out as well, if we get organized early enough we should be able to accomodate having extra seats.

That said, I am drinking til gencon.

Yeah, I'll already be down in Indiana by then.  I'm not sure when I'm getting down there.  If you can't find a ride, let me know.  You can hang out at my place in Indiana for a couple days and you can teach me everything about Legacy.

Okay Gen Con is like a week away, this thread has some useful info. BUMP.
Also does anyone know when the $500 8/19 vintage tourney (tcg00117) starts? (They have banned the site here at work and I can't look...). Thanks.
