Opalescence and Parallax Wave

If I had Opalescence out and Parallax Wave out, could I target a creature, say Eternal Witness, and remove it from the game, and then target the Wave itself and remove the Wave from the game, and when the Wave leaves play the Eternal Witness comes back in, and then would the Wave come back in becuase I removed it with its own ability, which also brings back the creautes it removed?  Get what I'm saying, you might want to read the card text. 

But if I could do this then I could infinitely remove a creature from the game and each time it comes back its coming into play ability would trigger, which blah blah blah you see where I'm going.  Does it work?

Edit: Ah I just read the Oracle text, and fromthat it looks like this wont work

Yes, that fixed that fun little combo... Doesn't quite do that anymore.
