(Thanks to moxlotus @ SCG's 1.5 forum) Smile Here. (Under the 'Complete Event Catalog', Line 4925)

"Compete in the first Championship Tournament for the newest Magic: The Gathering format, Legacy. Swiss rounds based on attendance plus single-elimination Top 8."

Thursday Aug 18th. 10:00 AM

Too bad I'm in Portland.  Sad

Edit - (from line 4839) "Bring a friend and compete in this special "kick-off" event for our newest sanctioned format, two-headed giant! Over $5000 worth of prizes to be given away! Standard-format. See www.wizards.com for details. Each team member needs a ticket." Huh...

I live in Ohio and am rather close to thisbut one question must be asked.  Why the horrible time slot.  Would saturday not be 1000 times better for this.  I am out of vacation days this year and am for sure not piddling away my vacation early next year.  I hope I can convince my boss to let em take an unpayed day off.

I'm going to try and play in this event; also, I'm trying to talk the Vintage World Champ, my teamate, Windfall, into playing in this thing.
Also, who is Gimbles from the Detroit area, and where does he play?

Gimbles is the other Legacy Adept, but he hasn't been on in a while.

Also, check again.  They're giving away bunchloads of Italian Legends to the Legacy players also.  Do they print more of this stuff?  http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=events/magic/legacychamps

Good luck to all who show!

Keep your eyes peeled for feature articles breaking down the two Eternal Championships in the Tournament Center in the near future. Ted “Type 1? Knutson will be covering Vintage while Zvi Mowshowitz will be playing in the Legacy event – his last sanctioned event before taking his R&D position – and writing about his experience.
