Ok, i'm pretty sure I'm getting a good deal from my friend here, however I'm not totally sure on the value of the FCG deck.

It's 100% complete minus power.

He doesn't want the pieces he already owns such as Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, or even Taigas as he plans to go mono red.

The deck has sentimental value to me as it's the first type one deck i've ever build, and a build of it just won a SCG.

Here is what he wants

4x Goblin Lackey
4x Goblin Piledriver
4x Goblin Ringleader
4x Gobiln Recruiter
4x Gempalm Incinerator
4x Goblin Warchief
1x Goblin Sharpshooter
2x Kiki-Jiki
1x Goblin Matron
2x Siege Gang Commander
2x Skirk Prospector
4x Wooded Foothills
4x Wasteland
1x Chrome Mox

Sideboard stuff
4x Artifact Mutations
4x Null Rod
4x Pyrostatic Pillars
4x Red Elemental Blast

He wants to go mono red, also.

So, value my deck!  What would you price it at assuming you do not have a vintage deck, and the fact that it just won a SCG.

I'd say $120. Thats just off the top of my head and i dont have a price guide infront of me or anything. Most people arn't going to pay more just because of the two reasons you listed. The fact of the matter is the cards are worth what the cards are worth. There wont be a big rush to go buy FCG just because it won Starcity and just because it has sentimental value wont add money value to it as far as those buying it are concerned.

I would suggest that your friend dose play with green as the food chains are a very important elememnt of the deck and without them he wont be racing type one decks to often.

Also, goblins have a limited use in Vintage, one of the most unfortunate things about starting with Food Chain.  Still and all, if you were going to buy the cards listed straight from a site or a store, expect to pay around $300.  Since nobody's willing to pay retail prices for cards anymore, I'd say $200 is a decent offer for both of you.

I will break into your house while you aren't home and disguise myself as a chair. Then I will leave before you get home, but there will be a place at your table where I was a chair and you will wonder why there isn't a chair there. Then later I will leave the chair disguise on your doorstep and you will realize what has happened and you will be afraid all the time. Helter Skelter mother fuckers!

That sounds about right.

Just based on an average of recently completed eBay items (yes some auctions will be higher or lower, that's why it's called an average), your deck is worth about the following in real life value:
4x Goblin Lackey - $5 each ($20)
4x Goblin Piledriver - $7.50 each ($30)
4x Goblin Ringleader - $1 each ($4)
4x Gobiln Recruiter - $1 each ($4)
4x Gempalm Incinerator - $.25 each ($1)
4x Goblin Warchief - $.50 each ($2)
1x Goblin Sharpshooter - $5
2x Kiki-Jiki - $5 each ($10)
1x Goblin Matron - $.50
2x Siege Gang Commander - $2 each ($4)
2x Skirk Prospector - $.25 each ($.50)
4x Wooded Foothills - $4 each ($16)
4x Wasteland - $6 each ($24)
1x Chrome Mox - $13

Sideboard stuff
4x Artifact Mutations - $1 each ($4)
4x Null Rod - $9 each ($36)
4x Pyrostatic Pillars - $.50 each ($2)
4x Red Elemental Blast - $.25 each ($1)

So the total for all of that is $177. If I was selling the deck I would sell it for $180 flat, no discounts. Keep in mind that getting a deck all at once saves someone the trouble of having to locate all the cards themselves, and then pay for shipping 10 times, which ends up being infinitely more costly than buying it all from one place. $180 is your final answer.

Thanks JACO, if he wasn't my friend I'd sell it for way more, but since he is I'll probably cut him a deal somewhere around the mark you set.  He after all did trade me proxy power a couple weeks ago that looks and feels like the actual card only it's slightly thicker and the ink is a little blurry.

If you're smart, you hold those cards until Extended season.  Goblins is one of the best decks in the new Extended format so far (it's currently Online Extended, but meh).  Most of those values will double or more.

Piledriver will be over $10 at that time, but the 2 best Goblins in Magic, Goblin Lackey and Goblin Recruiter, are not playable in that format. Not to mention Wasteland is rotating out of the format, driving its value down. Chrome Mox will be rotating out of Type 2 soon as well, dropping its value as well.
