Well i dunno how much this thing is worth but I met this guy and purchased the rest of the collection. I really wanted this thing but he wouldnt let it go. I dont know if this is a fair price but you will definitely receive the item. I wandered through it and its in fairly good condition. I was impressed by it.

There's no objective way to determine that. Assuming you get the cards (which seems likely), and you really want them, and you were willing to spend 500 dollars to get them, then no, you were not ripped off. How much anyone else would have payed for them is largely irrelevant.

Buit that's not what you want to know now, is it? OK, here's the thing. I did the math, and if you weer to buy that whole deck from, say, Trollandtoad, it'd cost you exactly 1278 dollars and 11 cents. But you coudn't, because there's several cards in there they don't have in stock, namely:

- All Hallow’s Eve (1st place radiant ’98)
- Baron Sengir (1st place Spring ’98)
- Black Lotus (1996)
- Blinking Spirit (1st Place Winter ’97)
- disenchant (Radiant ’98)
- Fallen Angel (4th place Summer ’97)
- Guardian Beast (4th place Autumn ‘97)
- Incinerate (2nd place Radiant ’98)
- Juzam Djinn (Duelist 1996)
- Karplusan Forest (98)
- Nether Shadow (4th place Tempest ’98)
- PyroBlast (3rd place Harvest ’98)
- Swords to Plowshares (3rd Place Radiant 98)
- Wheel of Fortune (2nd place Radiant’97)

...or 548 dollars and 5 cents out of the 1278 dollars and 11 cents. That means over at T&T, you'd pay 730 bucks for fewer cards. So yeah, it seems to be a decent deal.

By the way, it's an illegal deck because it has 5x Brushland  Very Happy

Don't forget the Chaos Orbs. Those tend to be banned in Type 1.

Personally, I think it's an awesome find, especially if the fatties really are signed by Wakefield. Besides, if you aren't satisfied with it, I'm sure you could find a buyer for it. Needs more Nether Shadows though.

Nice find Very Happy
Honestly, it looks like you got a good deal, and one hell of a cool deck.
Whip that baby out (I mean the deck Razz) next time your playing with your buds, and you'll be the coolest guy in your shop Smile
Like I mean shit man, I would love to have a deck full of 6x9 cards. Now all they need to do is print dual lands, all of the power, Drains, forces and all the other Type 1 staples, and we'll all be playing 6x9 decks.
I can't imagine how it is to shuffle them though Sad

At one point I had to make the choice of fixing the brakes on my car, or buying a signed/altered Ancestral Recall.  Guess which I spent my money on.
And everyone else has brakes.  I've been fine so far!

You can shuffle be doing that thing where people put the cards in 4 piles one by one.

Out of Jamie Wakefield's tournament report "It's All About the Dinosaurs:"

"I am calmer now than I have been all day. I need to draw or win my last round. And I can feel that I am going to do so. I have complete faith. As I walk around the room, people pat me on the back and a kid comes up and asks if I can sign his deck of fatties. He has a deck made up of all the Arena cards that are oversized. He has Juzams and Shivans and even Balduvian Hordes. He has enough oversized lands to make a complete deck and has been playing it between rounds.
He asks me to sign the Shivans, Juzams, and Balduvian Horde.
(Huge Grin)
Sure!
Round Seven. Matt Hale. The kid whose deck I just signed."
