I'd like to congratulate Endersdouble as the winner of 3CB Tournament #59! The old standby is there again - yes, I'm still in favour of banning it, so this is a step in the right direction! Well done.

Two things:

Metagame comments - not many, really: people went for decks designed to beat storage land decks, for the most part, and so the top four decks were the fastest single-threat deck, the fastest double-threat deck, the storage-land deck with the best defensive card, and the best Port deck, in that order. Still, the decision to go light on removal seems to have cost a lot of people in this field.

Results/Corrections: As you can see, there are some question marks in the results table; they are there because I can't work out what's going on, really - so I haven't spent massive amounts of energy to try and figure it out when I anticipate being corrected. So if you'd all like to test yourselves and give me a good argument for a suitable score, please let me know!

Adam

EDIT: Results modified and deck added.

First comment to make is that you've got a deck number 18 in the table but not in the list - I take it that it's my steel wheels deck?

As for 3vs10, it's 6-0 to Chifley. Dropping a vineyard by either side will just mean that a face-down vigilante comes into play which can destroy the words before 3 bears get into play (the minimum to make a fight of it).

2vs7 is 6-0 to 49 Cents - he can duress, mana burn a couple of times and then cast brand. Going second will mean his life total goes 20-18-17-14-13-9 and then cast brand. It's quick enough.

6vs7 is a bit more complicated, but I think it's 4-1 to Godder. Compared with 2vs7, thallid is stronger than the flying men, but not enough to make it 6-0, as whenever he attacks with the thallid itself brand will be played, killing the thallid and winning. Can't quite calculate it in my head, but I'm fairly sure that 4-1's right.

He doesn't even need to burn – the games go in favour of 49 cents, play or draw, the same way. T1, Duress for Daze, T2 Brand, and he has two 1/1s vs one Flying Men.

I calculated it out, and although Duress for Brand wins easily, he wins when he's on the play by T1 Duress, T2-4 burn (eot), T5 Brand, and his 5 tokens win (on 1 life!), so 3 points each.

7-3 should be 6-0 for #7, not 6-0 for #3..

Sorry for the mistakes and/or omissions - edited into first post. Especially to Chifley - I got them but for some reason your second deck didn't get typed up into Excel. Sorry.
