If you went anyways. Me and Wraith985 attended the Centeral California Regionals, with just under 300 people showing up.
I came in 23rd at 6-2-1 (I was in contention until round 8, where I conceded to Wraith when we got paired up)
Wraith made Top 8 though at 8-1! Sadly our Nats slots are only T4, so he didn't qualfiy, but still damn.

Ashok apparently went 7-2, but I have no idea what place that translates to.

I didn't get to play because Regionals here in Christchurch, NZ were scheduled for the day of the first Lions test played here in Christchurch. That's meaningless to people who aren't rugby fans, but it basically guaranteed that people couldn't get the day off work if they worked in anything like customer service, food or pubs (a reasonable number of teen Magic players fund their habit with that sort of part-time work, so not the best timing!). This meant that our 8-slot regional event was attended by 17 players...

I got screwed into working... most of my standard crowd went and scrubbed out. Congrats on the high finishes.

I played Tooth, and I came in 60th with a 5-3-1 record out of around 300 people in Detroit. I was 5-1-1 in 16th place at the tenth table till I got beaten down by the mirror match of Tooth, then beaten again by another mirror match of Tooth in round nine.
I did decently for my first type two tournament ever, (no FNMS, nothing.) also considering I barely tested type2 other than tweaking my own build of Tooth.

Forgive a complete T2 n00b, but where could one find decklists for these regionals? And does anyone know why several countries (such as mine) don't have any? My interest in T2 has recently been aroused.

I did pretty terrible with Flores Burn, but I had fun which was pretty much the only reason I went. Clown of Tresserhorn whooped some ass with Tooth, but the real highlight of the day was watching the Saga of Drrty Sanchez unfold. Heis this local 14 year old kid who we christened Drrty Sanchez because he rocks that dirty upper lip pube moustache. After round 3 we noticed him workin his game on some underage chick. Despite the efforts of his cock blocking friend and ignoring our advice to just whip it out by the time round 8 rolled around Drrty hooked up with the chick in the hotel elevator. He didnt tag it, but hes 14 so I'll let it go. So in the spirit of Dave Feinstein...
TO DRRTY SANCHEZ!

The rugby DEFINITELY means something to me. My god we were AWFUL. Put these lions up against 15 midgets - which, I grant you, the All Blacks are not - and the Lions don't have a prayer. EDIT: Couldn't play Regionals because of damn school.

There is a reason I don't play standard as a rule. I went with BG TNN and went 2-4 drop. I love not drawing land in a land heavy deck. That combined with half the metagame being Ponza lead to some sadness.

@Bram: you can try the Starcitygames boards for some regionals results but it's pretty messy over there. Your best bet is probably too wait for Mike Flores or Brian David-Marshall too write a summurary of what happened over at Wizards.com. Starcitygames might have some individual results too in the next couple of days, but the compiling articles, if there will be any, will probably be premium.

I'm such a n00b when it comes to formats that are actively supported by WotC This is going to be a blast...I can't wait to start reading up on Standard. I'll definitely be at the Eindhoven one. I'm still wondering though why on earth they're not simply called Regionals over here, too. Those crazy Dutch...

That is so easy to discover that it suggests conspicuousness or little need for perspicacity in the observer.

I'm glad to here that the drrty got down at least a little bit. It was surely not because of the help of his super cock blocking friend. As Bob said it on Saturday, the dude will grow up to be a player hater for sure. HATE HATE HATE HATE! On topic, I went 2-3 drop with 9 Land Belcher. Tooth is just stupid good.
