Stormcaller
1R
Creature-Human Shaman
At the end of each turn Stormcaller deals 3 damage to target creature or player if a blue spell was played that turn and a red spell was played that turn.
1/1

The color pair theme rumored to be in Ravnica got me thinking of this.  I wanted it to work whether it was 2 spells or 1 multicolored spell and I think the wording does that but maybe it could be cleaned up.  Also I thought this should have protection from red for flavor reasons but that may be too strong.

At the end of each turn, if a blue spell was played that turn and a red spell was played that turn, Stormcaller deals 3 damage to target creature or player.

Isn't that a better order for the clauses?

I think it might change whether the spells played triggers it or if end of turn triggers it, with the spells being played checked on resolution.  Actually the original wording probably needs a comma to separate clauses.

Can we get another opinion on the wording?

I think that the clauses should come after the "effect" portion of the ability. The only pattern I have to work with is Red Hot Hottie, from Unhinged, but that doesn't mean it's wrong.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.
