The words "Windswept Heath" showed up way too often in this report.  Why cant people just start playing good deck?  Oh, and that goes for you too Dizzle.  You dirty Johnny.

On the whole it was a nice report, but I think you glossed over too many details.  I really couldnt get a solid grasp of exactly what was happening.

Mad props for playing Long well like always, yet again it amazed me from your report.

I tried playing that thing 3,000 times. I think I played it well about 10% of those times. Damn Long is awesome!

Very nice read indeed!

I really enjoyed reading your report, in Australia there aren't any big vintage tournaments in Australia so at least I get an idea of what its like.

I get my packs and open them in front of Rich.  Opening the packs makes Rich very upset, and he can barely stand to watch as I do it.

Man, you had some solid first-picks in those packs too.

Thanks everyone! Glad to hear you liked it.

Since I forgot to do so, I'll mention that I ended with 2nd in the Sat 8pm Vintage event.  I didn't get anything good in any of the packs I got except a Gifts Ungiven, which isn't even foil.  I did, however, complete my playset of Michiko Konda by cracking like 2 more of her out of my packs, complementing the other two I had opened in packs I won at FNMs.

MUHAHAHAHA

JDizzle is mah nizzle fo shizzle!

Thanks for a great read JD.  This past weekend at Origins (my first convention ever) was truly amazing.  I wish I could have given you the correct advice, but I swear that guy (Richard Poteet, the slow-combo player) really did have Goblin Charbelcher in his build.  We should ask him sometime to find out once and for all.

One last thing... you're welcome for the Japanese Foil Forbidden Orchard and the Beta Wheel of Fortune in my "pimp" binder you saw, I picked up at $10 on eBay 4 years ago, not $15 Wink

I was sitting at my desk feeling all icky thinking, "dammit, why doesn't anyone write tournament reports like mine so I don't have to go into the SCG archives and read them when I'm bored and can't play Wow", and then I saw your report!  Thanks and good job!

Great report JD. I sure can't wait until you get back to town in August. Then T1 Savagery will be back in the store.

JDizzle is an awful driver. See Below...Smile

"JDizzle" - Finally, we get along on our merry way.  Somewhere after that, Chad called me to complain about my driving…from 200 miles away.  His call made me dig for the phone, because finding it myself was going to be far more exciting than letting Reb do it for me, which caused the car to swerve a bit.  In retrospect, I guess Chad was right.  At that exact moment he called, my driving was, in fact, awful.  I really hate it when he’s right.
