Name Pending Instant Until end of turn, you may play creature cards from your graveyard any time you could play an instant. If a creature you control would go to the graveyard this turn, remove it from the game instead. *** When I started thinking about this idea, it hadn't yet occured to me that it was a variant of Yawgmoth's Will. Instead, all I was trying to do was think of a black/green card that would do something with creatures in the graveyard. I figured that both black and green deal with returning stuff from the graveyard -- black especially, for creatures. Green is the specialist for creatures at instant speed. What makes this card balanced, I think, is that it doesn't actually pay for the creatures, which are typically weaker than the sorceries and instants that Yawgmoth's Will typically recurs. I included the RFG clause because I figured this would be broken with Ornithopter and any number of cards (Blasting Station, Ashnod's Altar, Fallen Angel.) I know that they're all 3-card combos, but there are a lot of such 3-card combos. I still need a name for it. I often approach cards from the name side, so it feels really weird to me to have a nameless effect.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

Current Wording:
Profane Harvest {G}{B} Instant
Until end of turn, you may play creature cards from your graveyard any time you could play an instant. If a creature you control would be put into a graveyard from play this turn, remove it from the game instead.

This is a little hard to break, since creatures mostly aren't free and don't generate mana (or if they do they need to have haste). Remember, for 3BB you can get Living Death and return everything, as well as Wrathing your opponent's board. Or Twilight's Call (priced at 3BB for the base effect, plus 1 for the instantability).
We might need 1GB but that's not certain at all.

It's important to note, of course, that Living Death requires a lot more setup than this. Casting it haphazardly could end up nuking your own board position or giving your opponent back some goodies you'd rather he didn't have. Therefore, if there is a significant mana investment involved in getting back more stuff than Living Death gets back, that's okay by me. This will never hurt you to play it.

GBGG to get back 2 Elves doesn't look undercosted to me. I'm trying to think if I've ever got a creature back using YawgWin, I suspect not. I like this at BG, remember BG is really 2 1/2 mana.

This card would be retarded in limited. I think its going to have to cost alot more than GB or BG1.

So make it rare and {G}. That solves almost any limited problem. Only a very, very few cards are so strong that making them rare doesn't entirely fix it - Phyrexian Processor and Jitte come to mind. Remember, there's also that 4B cantripping double-Raise Dead common from Apocalypse. This isn't much more powerful than that.

And Masticore. Let's not forget Masticore...
In any case, this isn't retarded, because you get to pay GB + whatever mana you have. If you have 10 mana (say), sure, it will get back 2-4 creatures (or one monster), but then, Fireball would probably have killed 2-4 creatures, or killed the opponent outright.

This still needs a name, but I'm at a loss. I'm not having any luck reflecting both colours in the name.

I like Simple names I don't know if it fits with the overall flavor of the set but I like
Redemption
Which means:
1. Recovery of something pawned or mortgaged. 2. The payment of an obligation, as a government's payment of the value of its bonds. 3. Deliverance upon payment of ransom; rescue.
I think its a good fit for black and green, green for recovery and black for the "pawned or mortgaged" (i.e. killed) Just my .02

We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars . . . but we won't. We're slowly learning that fact and we're very, very pissed off.

The problem with Redemption is that in a Fantasy setting, it usually refers to the redemption of characters, which would mainly be a White ability.

I updated the wording and selected "Profane Harvest" as the name. 24 Hour Clock.
