It reminds me of the Knight ability from FF5, when one of your characters is at critical health a Knight can jump in front of the blow and absorb the damage.  Trouble is I'm not sure how to cost this thing or what color this is; it feels White but redirection is red and blue too.  Conjecture?

At a 2/4, I would probably cost it around 3W or 2WW, and you could make it a Knight or Soldier.  I'd word it something like this:

"If lethal damage would be dealt to a creature you control, instead that damage is dealt to -this-."

Does that work?  Can you say 'lethal damage' on a card?

if you gave this defender, it would lower the cost most likely to something like 1WW.

Lethal damage sounds way better.  Changed.  And I like giving it Defender too, being that it compliments the flavor of being a Guardian,
