New card:
Muddle Up The Mix
Instant
Counter target spell unless...?
Transmute: (, Discard this card: Search your library for a card with converted mana cost equal to this card's, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library. Play this ability only any time you could play a sorcery.)
If this mechanic is true it could have very serious Vintage potential. We would get some very
decent tutors to dig up broken stuff. And the actual ability of the card would be icing on the cake.

See that comma? There's a cost attached to this, it's like cycling.
According to the newest sources, the cost is a mana cost only. That could still make them very playable. Only Black and Blue have this particular mechanic. (so much for improving the least played colors in Vintage in favour of the most played, Black and Blue) |

This particular card has two problems to keep it from being useful:
1: According to MTGsalvation, the manacost to use this ability is 1UU.
2: It needs to be played at sorcery speed...
The normal CC for the spell is UU by the way.

And Demonic Tutor and Mana Drain. And even Implse if you're playing Buhler's Gifts build.
I don't think that this card itself will see much play, because we already have our counters. But I wouldn't be at all suprised to see it on a 1cc spell that might be borderline playable, meaning it could fetch Duress, Brainstorm, Ancestral Recall, Dark Ritual, any of the topdeck tutors, Chromatic Sphere/Barbed Sextant, Tinder Wall,, and maybe even something else.

I heard something about all the tutor mechanics costing the same. Of course I might be wrong and they end up costing the mana cost of the spell plus 1, like it happens with Muddle up the Mix.
I'm very curious to see what's the condition for the counterspell... I'm also extremely curious to see just how many more of these are we going to get and how will they work!
