I have a friend there (Jon Summers with RGSA). He's says that the top tables are crowded with Landstill players. I think he said Zvi was X-1 with UW Landstill and WhateverWorks is around 3-2 with Landstill. I could be wrong on WhateverWorks's deck.

Smmenen also knows how many rating points you loose when your at 1950 and get rolled by a 1650. By the way the top 8 was at least 2 landstill vaiants at least 1 sligh, a San Dieago Zoo variant, and 2 goblin decks (go josh smith) but thats all i knew from experience i got put out of top 8 in round 7 by one of the goblin decks top decking like yugi.

I wasn't trying to be a prick god damnit, I was trying to see if you guys wanted to know what happened. If you didn't, then I wasn't going to add anything. What a jerk for saying I'm a prick!
Matt, that is NOT the Legacy Champs top 8 info.
The top 8 was:
First place: Red Gobilns Second pLace: Burn The rest of the top 8 had, I think 3-4 Land still decks and at least one High Tide deck, but I could be wrong. I know I am correct about the top 2 though. Zvi lost in the first round of the top 8.
God. Relax.

I think it is safe to say that most Vintage players have taken an active interest in playing Legacy, especially on TMD.

I dont follow legacy as much as i would like to but i just cant see how goblins could be the best (or even one of the best.) It seems to me the format still neede a lot of innovation.

I closely observed the event until the 1pm Vintage event started. I also tested with a whole bunch of the better players and talked with Zvi and some of the hulls before the event and the night before.
Rich also scrubbed out with GroAtog like 2-2 drop.

Thnxs for the info Steve. Now, do you have anymore of it or are we just going to have to wait? Any new tech in the T8?
I wonder what happened to the Survival decks?
Woot! Go go power rangers, I mean Goblins...I think.

There was so many mountains it wasn't even funny. Goblins, sligh, pure burn. They were everywhere. Mountain is to Legacy as blue dual is to Vintage.
All of GWS shit out except Endress who went 4-0 with FEB and then did poorly because he was so sick he drank 2/3 of a bottle of dayquil within 10 hours...and I had to help him walk back to the room...1/2 mile from the 'Con. We also had a teammate playing Second Sunrise.dec (with no 0 cost artifacts) who was in it until the last round, but his chances were pretty terrible.

I was mearly saying i wonder if red should own or if legacy needs alot more innovation.

I was reading posts about what people thought was being played and the top 8 decks...Just to let you know I went 6-0 until facing Zvfi which he proceeded to hand me my ass 0-2..I drew into the top 8 with Kyle Boggemes..first round of top 8 I played Kyle (he was playing landstill) I won that match 2-1, I don't know who Zvi was playing but, I do know that he had a game loss for deck reg. but he still won 2-1 then in the semifinals it was myself against Zvi and I had my revenge on him winning 2-0 (Zvi was playing landstill as well) in the Finals I played Peter Franke who was playing sleigh and I went on to beat him 2-1 winning the championship.

I top 8ed this thing with U/R Landstill...Whatever works(Kyle Leith) also just missed top 8 playing my deck with a different board.
I lost a close round 1 and went on to win 6 in a row...then, when I couldn't draw in...I won the 8th round as well.
If lists are not posted by some source...I will do so soon for mine.

RIP Mogg Fanatic...at least you are still better than Fire Bowman!!!
I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was. I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury. I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"

Aside from individual players releasing their lists, information of the T8 has not been forthcoming. Zvi's doing a piece on the tourney for mtg.com, but that won't be up until Monday. So, yeah, please post your U/R list Ray.

T is for TOOL at The Source posted: "uh...
Worlds was something like:
1. Vial Goblins 2. Sligh
3-4 Vial Goblins U/W Landstill
5-8 U/R Landstill SdZoo U/W Landstill Vial Goblins
$500 was:
1-2 split Solidarity Vial Goblins
3-4 Vial Goblins U/W Landstill
5-8 Elves URG Gro Sorcerey Speed Solidarity ?? Not Sure ?? (it was running Blastoderm and Isochron Scepter) maybe some sorta 3 Deuce or Zoo deck?
There was a regular Legacy tourney on Saturday, which ObfuscateFreely won with his own twist on Goblin Sligh, but I wasn't in it so I can't give a top 8. I think bigbear also placed with Rabid Wombat."

I was your round one opp. I was playing R/G survival with burning wishes. Missed the top 8 by just a bit... lost in round 3 to some stupid second sunrise combo that should have been rolled by any deck packing force of will in round 1 or 2 but got through on a bye rnd 2. Yeah i have to say that me hitting that wish was great but i think still would have won if you hadn't attacked with everything that turn. Id been saving that blast for like 4-6 turns as well. That was by and far the most memorable match I've had in a while.
