Hi.  Been out of magic for about a year in a half due to monitary issues and things like that.  I'm gonna be rebuilding some decks and starting some new ones and i was just wonderring what the top ten decks in the format are in people's opinion.  No need to put a card list down (i'll look up the decks myself)
but if you want to that would be sweet.

You have to read the forum rules.... you have to start a post with more content and I am pretty sure asking questions isn't allowed or something.  A moderator will probably see this shortly.

Gifts(both meandeck and SSB), Control Slaver, Stax (5c, Uba, 5c welder), dragon

some kind of storm combo probably belongs on the list in a month it'll be grim long, but that's not legal yet... food chain goblins and fish probably make the bottom half of the top ten somewhere, Oath should go in the mix, and I think there are a few ideas kicking around that are better than people give them credit for (bazaar infestation, tog and trix all come to mind) also maybe sensei's devining top combo.

belcher and meandeck SX are clearly the fastest decks in the format but they lose to too many cards.

anyway, the best way to get this information is to go to SCG or the tournament results forum and look at what's made top 8 in big tournaments recently.

Purple Hat's got it. The generalized metagame is Drain decks vs Stax decks with the odd budegty fish or FCG making an occasional appearance. This means both Misdirection and Wasteland effects are quite prevalent right now. If you're going to try and make some kind of new deck you need to take that into consideration.

Dragon recently made a top 8 so that deck actually loses some playability. The better it does, the more hate people pack, so the worse it does. Cycles, just like everything else in the format. Storm combo's fallen off the radar except for JDrizzle, but with Grim Tutor coming October 20th, everyone and their brother is going to be trying to break the format. Assuming combo manages to make a comeback of sorts, this will be an extremely healthy metagame, with decks all across the spectrum seeing play.

A quick search here on the drain or here at Star City will give you all the deck lists you'll need.

Welcome back, you picked a good time to return to Magic.
