Volcanic Apes
{1}{R}
Creature - Ape
Pack 3 - Volcanic Apes gains "{T}: Deal one damage to target creature or player.  That creature can't be regenerated this turn."
2/2
"These apes can fling more than the average monkey." - Erwin, City Zoologist.

Current Version:
Volcanic Apes
{1}{R}
Creature - Ape
Pack 3 - Volcanic Apes gains "{T}: Deal one damage to target creature or player.  A creature dealt damage in this way can't regenerate this turn."
2/1
"These apes can fling more than the average monkey." - Erwin, City Zoologist.

My attempt to give red a pack creature that fits.

2/2 for 1R with a special ability is a little bit too good for your average red creature.

If you want to keep it in line with current wording templates, it should go along the lines of

Pack 3 - Volcanic Apes gains "{Tap}: Volcanic Apes deals one damage to target creature or player.  A creature dealt damage in this way can't regenerate this turn."

Agreed, he'll have to lose a point of power or toughness.

I'm interesting in hearing from eph whether or not apes is the way to go with pack in red.

Packs don't have to single-colored. About half of the tribes in Onslaught were bi-colored, and of course we have Ranvica to look to for guidance.

Yeah, I have no problem with packs crossing colour boundaries. But because you asked for it, I endorse red apes for use with the pack mechanic.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.
